Me like skating cowboys! That WAS a lot of fun (especially liked the end, with hats positioned in strategic ways)!
Does anyone know who the young lady speaking at the very beginning is? She reminded me of Kate Mara. Could that actually have been her?

Where is Anya Angie when we need her? Remember Angie, a favorite member who was in love with Russian figure skaters? This video would let her combine her love of figure skating and BBM in ways that we all can accept...LOL
I have loved figure skating for years...those muscles, those butts...ahh....

:) the girl looks like Jamie Sale who with her partner David Pelletier won the Olympic gold back in 2002 after some controversy. :)

do you know, it was Anya Angie who first published this video on the forum in August, in a thread in Anything Goes! (now on the second page). I'm sure a lot of people assume it's inspired by the film, but of course it's from Stars on Ice 2003 before the film even went into production (and not many would have known about the screenplay).

I'm pretty sure that is Jamie Sale. I remember watching this "Stars on Ice" program when it was first broadcast, because I knew it was going to feature Jamie and her partner David Pelletier (talk about a hottie. ...). Jesus H.! What these boys do for a pair of jeans. ;D I think the blond in the white hat and white tank top is Russian, but anybody know how to find out who's who?
-
Jeff, I agree that's Jamie Sale introducing the cowboys. The shorter one in the brown vest is her partner David Pelletier.
The blond in the white hat is John Zimmerman, American pairs skater who performs with Kyoko Ina.
He even did an episode of "Queer Eye for the Skate Guy".

Thanks, Paul!
I was looking for David--I was sure I remembered him being in that routine--but they move so quickly! OMG, I saw that episode of Queer Eye. ...

It helps that youtube has a pause and rewind function!
-
Oh, God bless YouTube! I can't stop watching this video. Men who skate are sooooooooooo sexy... :P
-
Hey guys! Thought I'd give a heads-up on who the skaters are!
Yes it's Jamie Sale introducing. She "hosted" the A&E SOI broadcast back in 03, to mediocre reviews from most people I know...
Skaters (in no particular order mind you)
John Zimmerman, yes, just as someone posted earlier
Kurt Browning (4-time World Champ)
David Pelltier
Todd Eldredge (6-time US Champ, 1996 World Champ)
lastly, ALEXEI YAGUDIN, (4-time World Champ, 2002 Olympic Champ) who is Russian; just as someone mentioned I love Russian skaters, there's one of the best!
LOL I've been away for a while obviously. I'll give you guys an update on myself in my Anya's Life thread!
-
Oh yeah, I remember seeing that on TV. I wish I had seen it live.
;D
There used to be two skating shows that toured, Stars on Ice, and Champions on Ice.
"Stars" had their roster full of professional skaters. "Champions" consisted of amateur skaters who were still competing at Olympic levels.
The Cowboys on Ice was during a Stars on Ice show.

Thanks for bumping, Chuck! Very nice. The choreography is kind of unremarkable, but who cares, with that great hip action and those cowboy duds? 8)
