I think it's telling that the religious right spends so much time vilifying Brokeback Mountain, crediting it as an example of all that's wrong with so-called family values and representative of moral decay of society, ad nauseum.
It's almost as if it struck such a nerve, resonating to the point that they're afraid. I mean, I know why WE are still talking about it more than a year later, but why in the world are they still so consumed by it? It's still a popular op/ed topic with these people - I run across stuff like this all the time in my quest for BBM news:
