Title: Brokeback Mountain used in a car ad

I wanted to share this little piece, which brought a smile to my face. It's an ad for a car, the Touran, a so-called minivan. It's a part of a campaign from Vokswagen to advertise this van not to the usual buyers of vans (=families), but to new target groups.

The caption says: It's not necessary to have children to drive a Touran

Interesting adveertising campaign.
I hope Jack and Heath get "appearance" payments.
and if they get paid, I hope it isn't a "one-shot" thing.

I love that version of the picture, and the fact that Ennis is actually holding the 30-30.

Good on you VW.

Will future ads include shots from the hippy scene, including the VW van??
I'd love to see that.

Yeah, I like seeing these images used, they become more iconic each time they are used.

Well,  Volvo and Subaru have had ads featuring Gay and Lesbian couples now for years.    Cadillac also runs ads in Gay magazines.

I really can't picture too many cowboys driving VWs though.      Maybe GMC Truck division should run some ads featuring our boys?
