Elle, I missed that g-e-m, but I was generally one of about three men attending Chris Williamson concerts in the 80s. (I knew all the words.) In fact, I have Meg Christian's greatest hits in my car right now ("Ode to a Gym Teacher" LOL). I always found Holly Near annoying and too full of herself. My friends gave me a button that says "dykeling" with a cartoon of a duck. I was honored.

Chrissi, what is F-litter? I tried Googling, but didn't find it.
Dog and cat breeders number their litters by letters. The A-litter is the first litter of a kennel (or the 27th), B-litter the second, and so on. All names of the offspring of an A-litter thus begin with "A"; pups or kittens from an F-litter begin with "F" (like in the above pic), and so on. All purebred dogs have a kennel name (kind of last name) and a given name that indicates in which litter they were born into (kinda like a first name).
And often enough, they additionally have a name by which they are called. If your dog is officially named "Xanthippe of the Golden Fields" you might still want to call call her "Susie" (or whatever).

I have a friend whose birthday is February 29th. She only has birthdays every four years. She is currently 18 3/4, aka 75 years old. We had a big party three years ago when she turned 18.

I have a friend whose birthday is February 29th. She only has birthdays every four years. She is currently 18 3/4, aka 75 years old. We had a big party three years ago when she turned 18.
Finally, she could vote and sign contracts!
My son was born at 8 a.m. on March 1 in a leap year, so he almost had that situation. I told him all about that when he was really little, and later he asked me to remind him about that thing that he was almost born on. He called it "Kangaroo Day."
So now I always call it Kangaroo Day.
