Oh bthe places I could go with this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Guess what I am?
Squirter.
Raised to squirt--but then to use a fork.

Oh let me guess......
SQUIRTER!
And...not a refined one like JeffMMMMMM.
But, like Jeff, I do use a fork. Eating with my hands does doesn't work for me...yes I eat pizza with a knife and fork to.Your soooo demure!

On french fries, I like salt and pepper, and squirt catsup on them and eat them with my fingers. I also like mayo, and spicy brown mustard on them. Don't care much for vinegar fries though.
Glad you recognize quality when you see it.Oh yeah! 8)
This is begging for a new poll. Catsup, or Ketchup?
Lol. I wanted to tick both, dipper and squirter, but the poll wouldn't let me. So I go as a squirter now. ::)
Actually, it depends. With ketchup, I would rather dip, but with gravy, the fries would have to swim in it! However, I'd rather eat my fries plain than ruin them with mustard or mayonaise... :P

I'm not refined, just fastidious.
I eat pizza with a knife and fork, too! If I don't, I burn the roof of my mouth, and it's sore for a week, and I hate that, because I like to be prepared in case I want to use it for something other than eating. ... 8)
It's amazing how fast a discussion of food can get inappropriate. This is all Leslie's fault.

What's hard and hairy and sticks out of a man's pajamas?
Get your minds out of the gutter, people!

I am desperately trying to get off french fries (except for baked sweet potatoe curls drizzled with olive oil), namely because of the fat and grease. However, in my younger days, I ate french fries with mayonnaise. Usually I would get one of those little packets of mayonnaise, use a fork to pierce a tiny hole in it (or bite off the corner, to get as small a hole as possible), then decorate a mound of fries with little swirls and squiggles.
I haven't done that in forever, though. Mayonnaise isn't much more than egg whites and vinegar and not at all good for you. I've really been trying to eat healthy.
I had to pop up here when I saw this topic in recent posts! Definitely a dipper. Ketchup on french fries - preferably with a little hot sauce mixed in! I have seen my son dip Wendy's french fries in a Wendy's Frosty - don't laugh - salty and sweet is a great combo. (And I have to admit he may have picked up this idea from me - a very guilty -and rare - pleasure of mine is to use softened vanilla ice cream as a dip for potato chips!) ;DBeen there done that! LOL

A football chant (sung to Annie's Song by John Denver) called "The Greasy Chip Butty Song" is popular with the supporters of Sheffield United Football Club.
Now, Paul, you can't tell us this without finding us the lyrics. ... ;D
Did someone say deep fried oreos?

I love it! Thanks, Paul!
"Like Sheffield United / Come fill me again." Hmm. I suppose that could be taken more than one way. ;)
Ah, those crazy Brits. First it's mushy peas, now it's french-fry sandwiches. ;D
I guess it took a Yank to come up with something sensible, like deep-fried Oreos.
For some reason a french fry sandwich sounds pretty good. :DI love cucumber and butter sandwiches! My Gran serves them with tea at tea time. ;D
Stack some french fies on a bun and squirt some catsup and mustard on there. I'll give it a try sometimes. I've been surprised before. This makes me think of Melissa's cucumber and butter sandwich. :)

CHIP BUTTIES! - saying french- fry sandwich is just wrong!!! ;D

Do you keep your pinkie up? ;)
By any name, it's still a sandwich made out of french fries. ;D
She the same one who makes haggis?LOL!!
No, that was her mother.
Of course he does! Richard's got elegance, so he can carry it off. ;D

I guess you can squirt and dip at the same time. With a plastic fork of course. Only mayonaise. Hmmmm :)
Make sure to go vote on the condiment poll, Fabienne!

Enjoy the best pommes frites (or 'frietjes' as we say here in Belgium) in New York. And they have some very exotic and very unbelgian sauces to go with them, like Vietnamese pineapple mayo. :)
