Jake is one of the candidates in the live vote near the bottom of the page. He never struck me as particularly stinky. If he uses Polo cologne, then I might have to vote for him.
He's in the bottom five as of the time I'm posting this:
Josh Holloway (0.5%)
Jake Gyllenhaal (0.3%)
Wentworth Miller (0.3%)
Christian Bale (0.2%)
Timothy Hutton (0.2%)
Seems kinda unfair to include Holloway and Miller since they play characters in extreme circumstances. Let's see (or in this case, smell) the author of the article try to smell like a rose stranded on an island or in prison. No matter how he smells, Miller looks like he tasteses good. Bale does too. I think Hutton got so few votes because some of the young uns might not know who he is.
Tobey McGuire is in there with 0.6% of the vote. I wonder if some voters confused him with Jake and voted incorrectly. I'm curious to see the exit polls. I demand a recount!
What an odd article. People get paid to come up with stuff like this? And busy as I am, I'm wasting time reading, examining and posting about it? Don't know which is worse.
Reminds me of a former roommate of mine who didn't like some actresses because she said they looked like they smelled like pee. Her girlfriend and I never could figure out how someone would meet that criteria.

I'm surprised by Jake being on the list at all, because he usually looks particularly well-groomed (at official interviews, etc. especially).

I dont' understand how you can tell if someone stinks by looking at a picture...when I see some actor looking all ratty I just assume it is a 'style statement' and he is supposed to 'look' that way..
I guess I just assume good hygiene unless proven otherwise..

My Britney one was based on the fact that she is a country girl from Louisiana, she wore all those cheap gauzy outfits while going barefoot to gas station bathrooms and tracking her dirty unpleasantly grubby feet all over the place. She wears hair extensions constantly and wigs, the extensions are difficult to wash, and some people wear wigs when they don't want to wash their hair. She doesn't seem to be worried particularly about being clean - especially the feet thing, hence, Britney looks like she's not very hygenic.
And to be equal here, back before he cleaned up his act, Colin Farrell was a serious Irish lad. He hardly ate and drank and smoked a lot. My sister commented and I agreed, that he looks like he'd smell of old beer and stale cigarette smoke, especially when he perspired. :P

That may be true, Oilgun but c'mon now, you really wanna smell that funk for more than an hour or two?! I'll take fresh scrubbed, out-of-the-shower over 'natural' scent any time.
