right now , i'm in pajammas, having a cup of coffee, without cherry cake, which i do every morning when i sit down to read bettermost............
but to answer your question.....i'm in jeans all the time. i have about 5 or 6 pairs. if it's cold, i wear them with sweaters and hiking boots, and when it's warm , i wear them with t-shirts and runners. in the summer, i wear jean cut-off shorts, or maybe a skirt, once in a while....but, i'm a jeans girl. always and forever. no surprizes in my wardrobe. ;D
Clothes. :D
I work at home most days, so my wardrobe can be pretty routine. I am wearing navy blue capris & a pale pink 3/4 sleeve cotton shirt with a V-neck. I will add a pair of Sketchers sneakers when I do leave the house, the kind with no laces (for the ultimate in laziness). The only dress-up item I have on is a pair of white gold hoop earrings. No makeup either (my husband says he prefers me that way), and my shoulder length hair is partially pulled back in a claw clip. Not very exciting, I'm afraid!
I either dress completely comfortably to work at home, in business attire for meetings, or formally for occasions. My daily wardrobe used to be a little spiffier before my daughter was born.
Hey -- just yesterday I bought a pair of those, Susiebk. And I'm wearing them today. So far I like them. I just love a new pair of WHITE tennis shoes! (We call sneakers, tennis shoes in Arkansas. LOL.)
Then -- just jeans and a purple sweater, Front-Ranger. I'm at home for the day. YAY!
This confirms my reading somewhere that orange is a big color for 2008!! Do you think we are heading into a retro period, Amanda? I imagine your outfit looking a bit Mary Tyler Moore-ish, which I mean as a compliment I'm sure you realise. From her Dick Van Dyke period. I'm so impressed that you found a way to work in part of your cowboy wardrobe where you are in the metropolitan Eastern Seaboard area!! Way to go!
Right now I'm at work and I'm wearing an orange sweater/turtleneck with some brown wool pants that actually have a fine-plaid pattern in the fabric (and amidst the brown and tan colors there are a few bright colors, like bright pink, orange and aqua). I'm also wearing the brown boots that I wore at the BBQ!

A dark green cotton, button down collar oxford shirt over ....I'll switch into a pair of tan pants and nice brown shoes.
Hallooo, brokeplex, are you still there? You didn't get swept away? Let us know if you need us to send you some clothes!! Or a care package!! There's a flood watch in my area too...a lot of snow this year and 5.5 million skiiers visited Colorado during the ski season!!
But, it's spring in my neighborhood, so I'm barelegged for the first time this year! Feels great! I'm wearing a short skirt in a black-and-white Japanese print, a black silk jacket, white open-necked shirt, and a necklace made out of felsite, a magnetic metal that you can drape any way you like and make it into a choker, a bracelet, or a necklace of any length. Black slingbacks again, because they make me feel like kicking up my heels!
I'm wearing black pin-stripe pants (the pin-stripes are very, very tiny... but are pale pink, white and cream colors, alternating). And I'm wearing a camel colored suit jacket with a pink shirt underneath. So the pale colors on top are more of a nod to spring than the dark pants (and black shoes).
Thanks for posting everyone. This really helps me "see" you. Fashion may be superficial, but it's one of the easiest ways we can express our personality to others and be creative in a small way. It's also one way you can be good to yourself and cheer yourself up during these gloomy late winter days.
And oh BTW, only about 30 hours until it will officially be spring! In the northern hemisphere anyway!
darlin' its been spring here for the last several weeks! blooms are everywhere! oh, and I changed into another old tshirt and shorts. I'm informal in the house.
I looooooove your signature, Kerry! Poff! Poff! Poff! It's so cute!
Mornin' folks!Wow, I musta got the "memo"! I'm wearing a camel colored jacket (suede) today!! A purple sweater, camel shoes, and a flowered skirt with purple, camel, red, and loden green in it. I'm also wearing a tiger-eye necklace and earrings with orange and green tiger's eyes.
Today I'm wearing camel colored pants, a white turtleneck and a salmon colored jacket. And brown boots.
:)
Black sweater, Levis, black cowgirl boots, silver jewelry, brown leather jacket...going to a concert tonight!
wow, you gals dress up! I'm back in a t shirt with stains and holes, bermuda shorts, and socks (no holes yet).
All these soft gray colors with pastels are so perfect for the early days of spring!!
I was trying to take a picture of my belt buckle with my phone for you all. It was going badly. Fortunately, EDelMar walked into my office and I lassoed him into taking a picture of it. However, I don't think you can still see what it looks like but here goes. Click to enlarge.

It's a lot like this pic, Jeff. There's a bullrider leaning back toward the bull's rump.
I bought this belt in Albuquerque while my friend and I were on our way to Arizona. I LOVE having a Cretan bullrider on my belt buckle!!
ps Fortunately no one walked past my office while EDelMar was taking a picture of my belt buckle!!
Oh, that's neat! I've never seen a Minoan bull dancer buckle before. Like something right out of The King Must Die. :DYes, it is pretty unique! Strange to find a belt buckle in an Albuquerque Western wear shop with a naked bullrider on it! And in a mixture of gold and silver, which I love because to me silver stands for Jack while gold is Ennis. I promise to get you a better picture soon as Front-Ranger Jr. returns from spring break with my digital camera (it's a Nikon in case you were wondering).

Today I'm wearing taupe pants, a taupe and blue plaid zip-up sleeveless shirt with a vest-type finish on the tail, a blue cardigan sweater, and blue sandals, so I can show off my red toenails. My jewelry is a small galloping silver horse on a chain and the ring I always wear of a silver circle and a gold circle. It's misty-moisty this morning with snow in the forecast but by lunchtime it should be in the 50s, so I'm looking forward to walking to lunch.
Taupe is a kind of cool brown color Jeff. Jack was wearing this color jacket in the lake scene!!

old t shirt, bermuda shorts, old tennis shoes.
s'alright, s'alright, friend...I have a pair of sneakers like that too...they are red and white and say Adidas on the side. My son tells me they should be in the Smithsonian, LOL. I have had several pairs that have come and gone since them but I still keep my original sneakers.
I have a pair of running shoes that cost about $200 but it is just like putting 2 x 4s on my feet, they hurt so much and give me fits all the time...
the t shirt, well I'm looking down at it now, it is faded blue with a "Ft Worth Museum of Natural History" logo barely legible
the bermuda shorts are faded green and blue plaid,
the tennis shoes just need to be replaced, they are splitting down the sides and the soles are worn down, but I am too cheap to throw them out.
sometimes DL encourages me to adopt a new wardrobe by preemptively throwing out my old clothes. that boy has a lot of damn nerve.
Very cool! What do you do in the reenactment??
I will be wearing knee-high heavy black boots, black and white vertical-striped tights, a big, poofy purple shirt (like what they used to call a Romeo shirt), a black leather doublet with epaulets and a standing collar, and a wide-brimmed black leather hat. With feathers! ;D
Jeff, I'm sure you will be able to fit this outfit into your carry-on bag for the Roundup, at least the tights and Romeo shirt if nothing else! We must see it!!
I picture you as looking a little like the French guards in Spamalot. Have you seen it? Or, if not, have you seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail?? Can you say, "Your father was a 'amster and your mother smelled of elderberries"?
;D
I had a terrible time getting out of bed today, so I went with a super easy- no frills outfit. A purple turtleneck sweater, black pants and black boots.
That sounds very chic to me! :D
Please tell us you don't wear knee-high dress socks with your Bermuda shorts and tennis shoes? ;D
Who does he think he is, your mother? ;D
Please tell us you don't wear knee-high dress socks with your Bermuda shorts and tennis shoes? ;D
;D, no just regular sweat socks!
Today I'm wearing gray pants, a black shirt and a dark-teal green jacket with big, half-spherical-shaped silver buttons (ever so slightly military style... or Sgt. Pepper style ;D ). And black boots.
Today its autumn with avengence, overcast and drizzle about 8 degrees, so its standard jeans, probably a khaki coloured tee shirt and brown hoodie (which is all the rage here at the moment). Not sure about the tee shirt cause I'll probably freeze but it looks good!!! Won't use the hood though cause it makes me look like a monk!!! ;D
Ummmm Lynne who is Brother Patrick???? ???
Ahhh now I see. Thanks for the compliment!!!
Here's when I officially became a novice.. August 28, 1978 30 YEARS~! This guy looks like he could be my son~! LOL
On the weekend I ended up borrowing my son's jeans to wear because they fit me perfectly and are worn to just the right shade of pale Brokie blue. My son is quite a bit taller than me, but his jeans fit me since I wear them just below my waist, not hanging off my butt with 6 inches of boxer shorts showing, like he does!!
I never looked at this thread before, but just read the whole thing through in one sitting. On the spectrum of dressy, the only one here more casual than I usually am is brokeplex. :)
I went out this morning to take my husbie to his hand surgery (he broke his finger), and wore rayon sort of palazzo/gaucho pants with a fine (meaning small) black and white pattern on them, a turquoise sleeveless tank, with a deep violet linen long sleeve shirt over it. And slide sandals.
When I got home I took off the top part and replaced it with the t shirt I was wearing yesterday evening, which I bought as a tribute to Ennis and Jack a couple of years ago. It's a "nice" T shirt in a soft cotton, with a blue and brown mosaic-ish pattern on it. (I'm pretty sure I wore it at some point at last year's BBQ, because I wore it a LOT last year.) The pattern clashes with the pants, and I'll adjust the outfit before go out again.
OK I am wearing a white tee shirt, green sweater with black and white stripes on the sleeve and old jeans. Its freezing outside, we just had a big storm front come through with enough hail on the ground that it looks like its been snowing. In an hour I have to get ready for work, so it'll be into my uniform and up into the air again YAY
Poor ZK suffering through winter there down under! We'll blow some summer breezes your way!
Today is Saturday, and I have family visiting and we are going out for lunch today, so I'm wearing:
White shirt with narrow vertical blue and grey stripes
Blue denim
Brown belt with a large buckle (has an eagle on it)
Dark brown shoes
:)
you need a cowboy hat and some boots and you would be SET!!
;) ;) ;)
I do have boots, but not a hat, I'll have to come over to the US to get a proper one ;)
Saturday Square dance graduation: Levi jeans, dark saddle Durango cowboy boots, Stetson long sleeve cowboy shirt with front yokes and snaps. Not to dissimilar to the 'Ennis' thanksgiving shirt, white back round with very intricate paisley like print in shades purple and green.
Sunday San Diego fair ( Square Dance day ). Wrangler jeans, straw cowboy hat same boots, long sleeve plaid western front yoke Wrangler snap shirt main colors, lavender, blue with small stripes in white, several shades green, red and a silver thread Shirts was worn out ( not tucked in, I'm 6'2" so I can get away with that.)
Melinda, you are Jack's Pants, and don't you forget it. No khaki can take that away from you.
It is presently 8.15 on a rainy, winter morning in Sydney. I am sitting at my desk at work in a black, Roger David, two-piece business suit, Prussian blue cotton business shirt and a Hardy Amies silk tie with a black, blue and grey pattern. Black shoes, socks and boxers. I wear a variation on this theme to work every day. 8)
Yes those are fancy boots all right! They are perfect for all kinds of occasions!!
Heya,
Today I'm wearing black pants, a chocolate brown shirt with a low v-neck and a black tank top underneath. AND!!! I'm wearing my new cowgirl boots that I just bought in Cheyenne!!! I have a work thingy this evening and I'm going to wear my boots to that even. They can look really dressy.
8)
(the white shirt makes my slight tan look better) ;DLucky you having a tan, its mid winter here,!!
I just finsihed washing my car, so I'm in a pink muscle shirt, white shorts and leather sandals. :)
ummm whats a "muscle shirt"???
I am wearing a blue knit shirt inside out and discover this after several hours and decided, what the hell.......
I am wearing a blue knit shirt inside out and discover this after several hours and decided, what the hell.......I am wearing a new two toned blue hoodie which has the stiching on the outside (if that makes sense), so Truman maybe you are extending that a bit further (trendsetter) ???
I am wearing old P.E. shorts and a sports bra.
Apparel related question of the day:
What item of clothing or jewelry can guys wear to indicate that they're gay and available? Gals?
I'm new to all this and don't know why anyone would ask me for advice, but they do anyway!
Apparel related question of the day: What item of clothing or jewelry can guys wear to indicate that they're gay and available? Gals?
I'm wearing a florescent purple muscle shirt, white shorts, brown sandals and my pewter ankh necklace. :)
I don't think I've posted here before..Great thread, Lee. I think it's time to revive the "I love my Jeans" thread, don't you? :)
Anyway, now I am wearing pjs, but I know what I'm wearing tomorrow...
It's a patchwork corduroy skirt I made recently...
I just need to decide on a top.

Today I will wear something nice for church, maybe a pair of capris and a tank top that matches. Thats if I go at all. If I dont go to church, I'll wear the same thing. ;D
I found it necessary to wear a sweater today, and I also wore a fleece jacket! No swimsuit or jeans shorts for me, boo hoo!
Blue jeans, blue t-shirt, button down with blue, light brown, and chocolate brown stripes, brown biker boots, and brown watch and wrist cuff.
I am out for dinner tonight, so its a white t shirt, beige shirt, levis, brown shoes and a khaki jacket and I am good to go, actually downright dangerous ;) ;)
Hey whats a button down??
I am happy to report that I have lost enough pounds that I am now back into my jeans, paired with a purple tie dye tank top with silver rhinestones.
Here you are. Where you from, mate?Gidday Mate I am a kiwi, I live in New Zealand.
Hey thanks for the pic, now I understand what a button down is. ;D
Gidday Mate I am a kiwi, I live in New Zealand.
BTW, up here, we don't consider Orlando the East Coast!
Well, here's what I have on for the Madonna concert tonight.
blue jeans, white button down, brown harness boots, brown strap watch, brown leather wrist cuff, and a brown belt with a Brokeback buckle, just for fun.
Well its my day off, so jeans, white t shirt and horozontal striped two tone blue hoodie), then for tonight I am off to see Michael so I'll change to levis, and a chequered shirt
ok here is a question....you say you are wearing jeans....but you are switching to levis later. Here we use those terms interchangably. Is there a difference for ya'll?
and I don't know why but the blue hoodie makes me smile....bet it is cute!!
Right now I have my favorite robe on. It's full length (it goes all the way down to my ankles) and it's green, blue, black and purple. I feel like such a queen in it!
right now, cowboy sleep shorts, and a brokeback mountain t-shirt, bare feet.

With the brown one I never ever wear the hood - it makes me look like a byzantium monk
CUDDLE BUNNIES!!!
Speaking of which.....from CD's blog. I love the cuddly picture of Chuck and Laura on the homepage. Extremely cute and sweet!!!! :)
Ummmm ok dunno what to say, I guess what I mean is jeans are for mucking around the place at home or shopping etc but levis we'd normally wear when we going out?
Glad to hear you are smiling Injest! As to a hoodie? thanks Kelda you on the button: its a sweatshirt with a hood, generally worn by young people but I think I can get away with it ;D. We virtually never wear the hood. I have two one blue and the other a chocolate brown. With the brown one I never ever wear the hood - it makes me look like a byzantium monk
lol!!!
I love my sleep shorts....they're comfy.
Glad you like the pic of me and Laura......here's a bigger version.

Y'all wanna see Laura's "Jack Twist Lean"?
you make it sound so...........................naughty....
Laura Nasty!
and to keep the thread on topic......I'm wearing my cowboy sleep shorts and a BBM tshirt.
In the picture.....Laura is wearing her jeans! ;D

I know....but it makes me think of this:(http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1296/953846034_75ca493d12.jpg?v=0)Geez if I looked like that I'd wear it all the time. ;D
hot, young and sexy.....dang, ZK!! you go on with your bad self!!
;) ;) ;)
Geez if I looked like that I'd wear it all the time. ;D
I could see you trying to fly the plane like that!!
;) :o
SO Injest would you come fly with me then?????
I would WAVE!! ;D ;D
sorry, I had to leave for a minute....had a horse get cast!!! ::) ::) ::)
****SIGHS***** one day Injest, one day. Being the city boy I am you lost me with "horse get cast"
Tonight I am wearing a sweatshit emblazoned with Vancouver (I confess its my smoking atire - I don't like my other clothes getting smokey) and jeans. Had a tough day at the office so I am off to the supermarket to get some comfort food. Pizza, sprite and chocolate!
Down under unless its a business shirt, we normally wear our shirts not tucked in, even if its a "dress" shirt its fasionable to wear outside. The other exception would be if the shirt is too long. My daughter was aghast (trust me that is the right description) when I picked her up from school with my checked shirt tucked in (note it was too long otherwise), I got told to untuck it cause it looked funny.
Chuck your offline counterpart is an impeccable dresser (at that he would say, don't call me furniture!) and he goes the same hybrid route. I caught him closing a gate in this picture with a tucked T-shirt and with shirttails flying on his beautiful red plaid flannel shirt.

Nice outfits reported here! Barb, that sounds like the shirt Ennis wore for the reunion. White with wide black stripes.
I'm wearing a purple wool wrap skirt with a border of fringe and woven stripes, a magenta blouse with pink and white embroidery, a plain dark gray hoodie jacket with a purple lining, a bracelet made of multicolored enameled bands, and lavender pumps.
Today it's black slacks, black T-shirt, and a blue button down, untucked.
So Maya is a fashionista, huh? ;D
Ah the "to tuck or not to tuck" debate. We have a number of guys who will tuck their shirt in, and others who won't, either way is acceptable.
When I went to the recent NYC gathering, I wore my white button down tucked, so my Brokeback Mountain belt buckle would be visible. Mostly, I'm not a tucker.
Here is an example of how I look, taken in Colorado. The T-Shirt is tucked in, but the button down is left open, and untucked.
Back to the subject of tucking, I would conclude from looking at this that straights are more likely to be untucked, while bis and gays tuck or do the hybrbid thing. And we know that Ennis was a tucker; Jack too (most of the time).

Wranglers, brown corduroy shirt, and boots
untucked
Corduroy pants the color of the blue "flag" on the BetterMost bean can at the bottom of the page, subtle purple and goldish swirly paisley shirt with 3/4 sleeves, scarf wound around my neck pretty much the same color as the pants.
Shouldn't you be getting into something more comfortable at that time of night? Or day? Oh, yes, I can see that BetterMost colour...same as The Truck!!
And my office as alway is freezing.
Light brown jeans, white button down shirt, brown belt and harness boots.
It's Saturday morning here in Sydney. It's pleasantly warm, though wet, after a fierce overnight storm, and I'm wearing charcoal cargo shorts, a black tee-shirt and bare feet (will wear sandals when I go out later). Around my neck, I'm wearing the crystal talisman in the shape of a stylized ankh that I wear every day, and also a string of small jade beads, tight around my neck. It's the first day of summer on Monday and I recently bought a new pair of swim-togs (black Speedo swim-shorts with red trim - not the baggy type) to celebrate the season. :D
:o :o
Kerry in a Speedo!!
*wolf whistle*
;) ;)
Haha! Mine are swim shorts, Jess. I Googled "Speedo swim shorts" and found a pic of them:(http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o126/kez4oz/Album%201/speedo-togs.jpg)
That's the exact pair I recently bought; same colour and all. :D
I have on a T-shirt and a pair of shorts..
Im about ready to get into my nighties.
Its 49F and we have the heat on. Its supposed to get cold tonight. We had to cover the plants again so they wont freeze and die.
Hopefully the sun will warm us up again tomorrow.

Hey Jess so whats the Temp in Texas now?

Neat website---I just added it to my favorites. Thanks!

Check out the lace elbow gloves, the corsets, and the opera coats!!!
What a handsome guy!!I agree!
I'm getting ready for bed, it's 01.40 and a new year....I'm wearing my ordinary pyjama, same as Marilyn Monroe....1 drop of Chanel no. 5.....That sounds lucious!! Sweet dreams, friend, and happy 2009!
Good night
Berit
What ya think?

Great colors on you, Chuck!

I like that red! We would never get tired of seeing your face....but next time I think you should hold Blaze so he can be in the picture with you. ;D
that picture reminds me of...

Chuck, the red shirt is hot! May I give some very shallow advice.. I think, if you had the sleeves shortened a bit, it would look better. .. Just an idea, that you can throw into the bin... :P
They're warmer than other socks.
I hope Russia did not cut off your heat, friend!!
I went out on a limb tonight, wearing my shiny black cowboy boots to the symphony! I used the excuse that the Stock Show and Rodeo was in town to wear them!! They looked fabulous with my "piano skirt" velvet skirt with fringe on the bottom and a cashmere sweater. For the first time ever, I was also wearing pierced earrings, little silver horses inset with opal and onyx.
My new coat. I have been wearing the same coats for several years and the winters have been
pretty mild. It hasnt been an issue. This winter has been so damned cold. I have been freezing for weeks, every time I left the house. Specially my butt. I finally gave up and went
out and bought me a new puffy coat. I have never owned one of those before..its calf length, and has a fur trimmed hood..(fake fur) I put
it on and said ok this is mine now. And best of all it was at the end of the season, so it was fifty percent off. Its a cerulean blue, and so so warm..yeay hoo
What are you wearing today?
I had to get my ears pierced so I could wear them.
In honor of Heath today, I am wearing dragonfly earrings given to me by my real-life Ennis.
It's not a dragonfly tattoo, but close...I had to get my ears pierced so I could wear them.
Party too much this weekend, friend?? ;) At least you have a day off to catch up!
right now, a pair of red shorts, and a grey and red shirt.
Are you cold? It's snowing and you have on shorts. :P :D
Haha   I didn't think you were outside running around in the winter weather in your shorts. LOL. The neighors would've probably tried to get help for you!!
I did that in Bay City, Michigan in February.
I went out for runs each morning in my shorts and a shirt. It was chilly!
black shorts and a sleeveless black t-shirt......something to be comfy in after the gym and dinner.
Somebody went to church today! :D
I mostly work out down in my basement.

I'm being lazy today.
sleep shorts and a Brokeback t-shirt.
What are ya gonna wear to your interview 2morrow? :)
I wore a black and white large print plaid short blazer with a white shirt under, a black tulip skirt, black hose and black patent pumps. I fat braid down the back of my head and tucked in. A wide band watch to cover my tat.
Today I am wearing Heath stripes (shirt) in preparation for tomorrow, black cami and my new jeans-which are now too big ;D
At work, I wore black safety shoes, red company shirt, black jeans, blue jersey...my work uniform.
I am sure you rocked the look though!
Brown skirt with cream embroidery on the back pockets and also a few rhinestones. Cream and brown tank top, and brown and cream leather flip flops with a flower in the middle. All hand me downs form my friends daughter !!!
Still beggars can't be choosers. :)
Nice! I'm celebrating a lovely warm day with a brown tank top, a light yellow jacket, and a short brown suede skirt with light yellow embroidery and a scalloped hemline. Brown alligator sandals with cinderella heels. I should be wearing jewelry, but I decided to go without!
My outfits have not been very exciting since I work at home now. Today I'm wearing a black knit top and my daughter's gym shorts (because I can!!) Oh, I also have red nail polish on my toes.
I'm wearing the gold watch The State of Cali gave me to mark 25 years of State service, gold door knocker earrings, a gold bangle bracelet, a black tiered maxi skirt, a blue, white and black plaid peasant blouse, black wedge sling back pumps and Iman's blue and black crocodile embossed tote.
It's nearly midnight, so I'm wearing a black cotton t-shirt, black cotton undies and white cotton sox. I'm about to go to bed.
A t shirt that bears something said by Ralph Wiggum on The Simpsons:
Me fail english? thats unpossible
Black v-neck sweater (a very thin, soft wool... so it looks more like a shirt than a sweater), grey and blue plaid pants, high-heeled black shoes. And, a sparkly midnight-blue bracelet.
:)
^Are Uggs as comfortable as they look? I've never tried a pair on. However! I do own a pair of Uggs ear muffs (believe it or not)... and, they're great.
:)
Today I'm wearing a black skirt, black textured tights, tall black boots (my Mom calls them "lady boots" ::) ), and a red silk shirt with ruffles all around the buttons in front and around the collar.
Yay! I got all my summer clothes out of the closet today and put on my smallest pair of jeans shorts...and they fit!! *Ranger does happy dance!*
There have been quite a few stiff winds around here lately (prompting me to whisper "Hi Jack!") but I assure you I'm still rooted to the earth! But, thanks anyway!!
I don't drink coffee.
