For the Brokeback Mountain fan on your holiday gift list, consider donating a sheep in their name through the organization Heifer International. Heifer helps poverty-stricken people around the world to improve their economic situation and become self reliant by providing them with livestock. Lovely organization.  I donate almost every year.  I hear they keep the religion stuff to a minimum.  I hope that's true.

This is a cool idea. My Mum is 81, she has absolutely everything she needs, and when she was younger she used to sponsor a child in Africa through World Vision. So this Christmas I decided to give her three ducks through OXFAM. The ducks themselves will be given to a family in Indonesia.
