Title: standard farm equipment
Post by: MaineWriter on March 31, 2006, 06:28:41 pm
I need to know the names of some standard equipment you would expect to find on any farm.

So far I have tractor.

Is a baler standard? Mower? I need other items...machinery, I mean. Thanks.

Is a combine a vehicle?  And would it be on a farm?  Lol, the word just sounds right to me.

Update:  Just looked it up on dictionary.com and here's one of the def's:

#.1  A power-operated harvesting machine that cuts, threshes, and cleans grain.

As for farm equipment, dont forget plows and harrows (pulled by a tractor), and--I'm not kidding on this one--manure spreader.

My father used to say that the manure spreader was the dumbest piece of equipment on a farm because it kicks the sh*t out of itself.

A farm or a ranch?  You'd find some things on a farm you wouldn't find on a ranch and vice-versa.

But they'd probably all be painted in John Deere green.  ;)

Personally, I'm more disturbed by "Hog Oiler".   :-\
