Title: Such a great smile!

OK.  I'm supposed to be in New York.  But my flight, just like last time I was going, was cancelled due to bad weather.  I don't yet know if I'm going tomorrow instead.  This was my view out the plane window for 4 hours today on the runway before they cancelled the flight and went back to the gate.  Lovely, hunh?

But one nice benefit of this cancellation is that I get to spend some more time with Juan, who is here in Chicago for the Gay Games.  We spent an all too brief few minutes together last night, but are getting and then we got together for dessert and coffee later tonight, which turned into a walk through Millenium Park and a wonderful conversation back at my place, which sadly ended at midnigh-thirty.  Here's Juan yesterday:

Why all the pics?  My new digital camera, of course!  So - I might be here this weekend or not, depending on the weather.  Don't know yet...but if so, then I just might make it to NYC NEXT weekend for the Brokie Brunch, which would be awesome!!

Wish I could be there for the next Brokie Brunch myself... But maybe I'll make it to London in September!!

I bet you'd rather have been looking @ Juan's smile than the tarmac & those other planes, esp for four hours!

Juan -  That pic is even better than the one I have for you!  Hope you make it out of Chicago ok too.

Oh dear, Celeste, I'm bummed that you had such a bad go of it today!  It rained and thundered like crazy this afternoon, so it's a good thing your plane didn't attempt it.  As long as you get here one of these weekends, I'll be happy!  :)

What a great picture of Juan!  He is easily the BetterMostian who has met the most fellow BetterMostians.  I'm eager to hear how his team did in the Gay Games. 8)

Thanks for all your compliments, you're all too kind!!   ;D  It was incredible meeting Celeste, and her bad luck became my good fortune, so thank you Celeste!  I'm at work, sneaking on here when I shouldn't be, but I just wanted to give a virtual blush to everyone who posted.  And what's this "see you soon" cryptic message there Rubyfruit??

Thanks Kelda!  It was really fun going to the games...but my team did terribly.  We had some strife and bickering on the second day, stuff that had been brewing up, and we didn't win a single game.   >:(

Chicago was great, the people were so nice.  It felt like there was no homophobia at all, very safe.  And I did get to see some of the better volleyball teams play, there was this one team from Puerto Rico were killer players and sexy as hell!  Plus some of my friends were there, and one even won a medal in bowling!

I skipped out on the closing games, can you send me a link to see that dance routine?  One of my roommies knows I'm on this site and mentioned it to me.
