Title: Which Game/Reality Show Would You Want to be on?

I would like to be in Survivor I think...I think I could lay low and come out in the end as a surprise...

None. Ever.  And I feel really adamant about it.

First, I think that the networks are making too much money from these shows for a next-to-nothing investment.  Consider that they do not have to pay actual actors for talent nor actual writers to develop scripts.  Ultimately, they are working to squeeze both actors and screenwriters out of TV market entirely.

Secondly, from what I have seen of shows like Survivor, these types of shows appeal to the lowest common denominator of the human condition.  I fail to see the entertainment in choosing teams and creating secret alliances amongst various members of the team, and then ultimately voting on a team member's worthiness.

We may as well open a Coliseum and pit some lions against <a representative of whomever needs vilified>.

It's lowbrow bunk.  Read a book if you're that bored.

IMO of course.

Well I have to admit, the only one of the shows that I have watched, is Deal or No Deal....the Aussie version of course.

I have watched bits and pieces of Survivor a long time ago, but never really got into any of the reality shows.

I guess I didn't believe in the authenticity of them. Unlike Lynne I think they are probably scripted to some degree, and they are not necessarily what you see is what you get.

I like game shows, maybe thats the gambler in me, I like to see people win, but the only one I watch now is Deal or No Deal. Dont need too many brain cells to either play or watch that one. Its just light entertainment we have on, before we get bombarded with the evening news. A bit like the calm before the storm.

The Amazing Race would be fun if I had the stamina for it.

Deal or No Deal is probably better suited for me these days. ;)

Amazing Race - no alliances required and you get to travel around the world with someone you care about.

The only one I watch is the Australian production of "Deal or No Deal." And that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the show and absolutely EVERYTHING to do with the compere, the ever gorgeous, Andrew O'Keefe! What a guy!  :P   :D

Of course I picked The Amazing Race, arguably the best reality show ever.  Next it would be Survivor, if only for the free trip, I'd be voted out early I'm sure, and third: Wipeout because it looks so damn ridiculous and fun.

There is a similarity. Does Ingo also have a deep, husky knee-quivering voice and a big, booming, mucho-macho laugh, like Andrew? Sigh! Andrew is from Australian show-biz royalty. His uncle (father's brother) was Aussie rock legend Johnny O'Keefe . And Andrew's not just a pretty face either. He's a graduate lawyer and his father is a judge. Yep, definitely the full package.  :D

I'm sure he could host any show, and put people at ease with his humour. We watch Deal or No Deal every night, and always have a giggle at some of the faces he pulls, or the way he goes on at times, he is so refreshing.

And oh yes....what a contageous laugh.....he really does look like he is enjoying himself.

Andrew is so gorgeous. A breath of fresh air. Just watching him makes me feel good. Doesn't matter how much of a wretched day I've had at the coal-face, when I switch on the telly each evening at 5.30 to watch Andrew ('cause I'm watching Andrew, not "Deal or No Deal"), I immediately feel better. He's a tonic.

I'm not sure, but I don't think so, because if he had, it would have stuck in my mind :laugh:.
Hey, I didn't want to talk you out of royal Andrew and into Ingo ;). I think they both have something impish in their look.

There is  something impish about them. And cute too. They are both definitely very cute. Ingo's not quite as cute as Andrew, but he is certainly a very close second!  ;)   ;)   ;)   ;D
