I live in a high-rise so I don't have to deal with trick-or-treaters.
But for this year, I already have a reservation to have dinner at my favorite bar/restaurant. I will dress in some of my Renaissance faire/reenactment garb, and I have to remember one evening this week to watch my video copy of It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. ;D
It's not Halloween at my house without The Great Pumpkin. ;D

I live in an apartment building too, so I don't usually get trick-or-treaters either. But, I will probably buy myself a small amount of Halloween candy just for a treat. And, I'll stay in. Usually I watch seasonal and/or scary movies, but this year I'll be watching bull riding season finals (I'm such a dork, but I'm excited)!

And for a treat I might even spring for the 18-year-old scotch instead of the 12-year-old. ;)

This Halloween I have a gig with the band I'm in. It's at this pub on the ground floor of the downtown Sheraton, a nice place.
We play Celtic rock and Pirate shanties, so I figure I should dress like a pirate, which has turned out to be harder than it sounds. I thought I could pull together a costume from the stuff I have at home, but my first try just looked kinda "gypsy" and the second makes me look like a waitress at Red Lobster.
Back to the drawing board I guess. Can't believe how preoccupied I am with this! ::)

There must be about a bazillion web sites selling pirate--or, at least, piratical--garb. Just look under "Costumes" on eBay. That might garner some useful ideas, if you're having trouble getting "the look." :)

I have always dressed up for Halloween, and usually attend a party of some sort.
I also go trick-or-treating with my friends' kids.
-
Usually dress up, go to a club, parade and/or private party.
Then late, hold a private ritual for my beloved Dead.

That sounds cool. What is entailed in the ritual, if you don't mind sharing?

Well, at the beginning of October, I always set out my Dia de los Muertos shrine. It has some memento mori and pictures of dead family members I loved and starting on Halloween through the November's All Saints Day I light candles (and in my windows or out on my balcony if the weather is right), burn incense and set out food and basically meditate on death, think of my beloved Dead and all those who have gone before and since the veil is thin between worlds during this time of year here, if they've something to say or show me, basically I'm paying attention.

Originating from the U.K as I do, I am still throwing myself wholeheartedly into the whole Halloween thing. My yard is divided into 3 sections, the pumpking area complete with 12 ft pumpkin man, the haunted house and ghoulish again 12 ft scary monster man, then there is a graveyard section. I just love it all. I will sit in the haunted house this year handing out candy in whatever costume is down to bargain price.
The yard decs are from another time when I used to have money !!!
If I feel inclined, when the candy is gone I will saunter down to one of the many alcohol booths that some of the residents set up.The only change this year is I will not be going on to the party at the club as we gave up our membership when money got very tight. I will also have to walk round the houses, as no club membership,no golf cart !!!

I usually don´t do anything. The town where I live is small and it´s not much going on here. I spent last night in front of the teve, eating popcorn. I´m sucha party animal

Well, I lucked out. A friend loaned me a red jacket and wig, and my look was complete! Check it:
