Title: "Hope For Haiti" Special and How to Donate
Post by: David In Indy on January 22, 2010, 10:37:37 pm
Is anyone watching the "Hope For Haiti" special on TV tonight? It is being aired on all the major American networks - ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX. CNN is also airing the special.

Here is a list of some charities accepting donations for the Haitian people. Each will charge the donation to your cell phone bill. As far as I know, 100% of your donation will go to Haiti -

$10.00 Donations -

"The Clinton Foundation" - Text "HAITI" to 20222 and $10.00 will be charged to your cell phone.

"The American Red Cross" - Text "HAITI" to 90999 and $10.00 will be charged to your cell phone.

$5.00 Donations -

"Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti" - Text "YELE" to 501501 and $5.00 will be charged to your cell phone.

"Union Rescue Mission" in cooperation with the International Medical Corps. - Text "Haiti" to 85944 and $5.00 will be charged to your cell phone.

Indianapolis is closer to Port-au-Prince, Haiti than it is to Phoenix Arizona, Los Angeles California, Portland Oregon or Seattle Washington.

Haiti is our neighbor.

it was a good show. It aired in the middle of the night here (live) but it felt important to watch.
