This is great!! Amazing detail. They appear to be airbrush paintings. I wonder how they got the oxen to hold their heads still enough to paint the faces?

    This is very like the painting of the cows.  We had here in Portland and Seattle.  The main difference is that ours were not real animals.  They were paper machete.  They were sold to make money for charity.  I wonder if it is the root of this painting.  It doesn't say how long this has been going on.  The art work is very similar as well.

        Seems that this is from an earlier type thing that was done in Switzerland.

I saw painted cow sculptures all over Chicago once - I think it was 1999.  I thought it was a Chicago-specific thing, but I guess not, because I've now heard of it numerous other places...seems like it was called 'Cows on Parade' or something.

Several years ago, they were all over town, then auctioned off for some charity.  Just like the cows.
