I'm starting this topic for BetterMostians to check in and say they're safe during these dangerous times. Also, you can ask about a person, using their BetterMost name, and we'll all chime in if we know their status.

I heard that ednbarby evacuated her home with her family and is safe staying at friends' house north of Florida.

Correction, edenbarby was staying with friends NW of Tampa. They never lost power and the storm weakened to a Category 1. Some of you may know Jim Clark. He is safe, also in the Tampa area.

The only damage was a huge banyan tree that fell, but not on her house.

Bay City John of Healdsburg was safe and online 6 hours ago. He may have to evacuate.

In these dangerous times, sadly, it's a help. Thanks, Chuck. After a "terrible" several days in the lap of luxury at the Healdsburg Hotel, John and Oscar went home last night. There was a flare-up near him called the Pocket Fire, but I think it's nearly under control now.

Ednbarby's son is safe. He attends school about 15 miles from where the latest shooting ( :'() today was. Dave Cullen is sad about having to explain the situation so often.
