Title: Cumberbatch in a Western?
Post by: Front-Ranger on September 20, 2021, 12:03:15 pm
Benedict Cumberbatch used to be "overexposed" but that was before the pandemic.

Now he's back! (Batch?!)

And...in a Western! Set in Montana, the Power of the Dog is directed by Jane Campion. Coming to theaters in November. Will this finally get us back into the theater?

The trailer is here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELvKuuXdfCU). Be forewarned, there is whistling!

Has anyone seen The Power of the Dog yet? It has inspired me into a bit of the same "gotta talk about it" urge as our favorite movie. Ironically, Annie Proulx is credited and thanked at the end. Apparently she wrote an introduction to the 1967 book and/or consulted with Jane Campion on the script.

I woke up thinking about some scenes this morning that I found strangely erotic. Mmmmm...

It's on Netflix here. I haven't seen it yet, but have it on my list.
