All the threads are gone from the Pierre Tremblay message board.
Guess it was time.
I hadn't looked at it but once or twice in months. Still, it was a shock, to see it emptied out.

Wow! What a sad bit of news. Feels a bit like a historic moment or milestone. Thanks for letting us know. I was never on PT back at IMDb, only the big board. But still this news makes me very sad.

Of course, the great silver-lining is that the history has been preserved here.

Yeah, but I think at least part of whether a thread gets deleted has to do with activity, not just age.

Older threads do get deleted. However, I had checked the P.T. forum a few months ago and there were a few posts that had recently been posted. They should still be there.
Yes, IMDB.com does delete older posts. I've posted about films other then BBM more then a year ago and they are gone.

Yep...I just confirmed for myself that the Tremblay board on IMDb has been wiped out. And it does seem suspicious to me; I still have some IMDb message-board posts dating back to 2003 that are still online!
Please feel free to join Clarissa, J.u.d.e., and myself in recreating some semblance of the P.T. board's glory days.

Well there used to be a poster hear with the username Gattaca. My email address coincidentally has the word gattaca in it. We are not related. Hope that clears it up Ellemeno. ;)

I was posting about BBM on TOB since 10/05, jumped to P.T. after the trolls savaged BBM after it lost Best Picture. DavidinHarford can vouch for me! Satisfied. ;D

No no no, I was trying to figure out if this was an old friend I hadn't recognized. No troll worries here. If someone trolls, we hve the power to zap 'em pronto, so the old paranoia has long been put out to pasture. With responsive admin, we need have no fear. :)

He used to be here too (in fact, I think he came back, under the same username, having deleted his account here). He started a really wonderful thread on 'Our Daily Thoughts', and I felt sad when I saw that he had left. I don't think he's posted at all since his return to the bean site (assuming that the second gattaca is the same as the first).

Well, the trollies, or one earnestly committed one, have been continuing to wipe out anything new we've posted over at the PT board. I've kept reposting a "BBM in emoticons" thread just for the hell of it. May as well make him work for his troll credentials. ;)
Anyway, it's been fun revisiting that old thread and seeing some old friends pop up. So I'd encourage people to go over there from time to time and post, just for orneriness's sake, if nothing else.
If you do post, let us know here, or on some other thread, so we can visit, too. :)

I agree. I think IMDb is simply too huge a site for anyone to moderate successfully. They have to depend on automated solutions, and the trolls have figured that out and made it their playground. Thank goodness for BetterMost, is all I can say. :P
