Inquiring minds want to know your cat ownership details, cross-referenced against your preferences for Ennis and/or Jack!! This will be interesting! Photos of your cat or cats required for proper documentation, so we know you aren't just pulling our tail!!
Disclaimer: Yes, I know Jack and Ennis were not cowboys. But, somehow, "Cats and ranch hands" just doesn't have a good alliterative ring to it!! So cut me some Lee-way on this!

I'm pro-Ennis and I own two tabby cats (mum and son) - one inside, one outside.. :laugh:

No cats (allergy, :( ) Ennis wouldn't be Ennis without Jack, so the word isn't quite "prefer" for me. But Ennis. :)

Thanks for asking! As is well known I am quite a Jackaholic. That's why I hardly ever read any fanfiction, because Jack is usually absent from the ones I see. Either that, or they're someplace else other than Wyoming, and that makes no sense to me at all! I have allergies to long-haired cats, so my cats have always been tabbies. Here's a pic of my cat Diva keeping me company by the fire today!

We DO have a dog, she's nice and all but I like cats. Cats are animals that you can feed forever, but if they don't like you you can drop dead after dinner. You have to EARN a cat liking you, and then they are buds for good.

I have a tuxedo cat and a dog... a golden retriever!
And I prefer both Jack and Ennis!
There was a time when I preferred Ennis, until somebody named MELISSA turned me on to Jack!
Now I'm confused!!

I voted, I understood the great social importance of this question.
I prefer Ennis, and no cat or dog.

Early results show that Jack-lovers are more likely to have cats, and Ennis-lovers are more likely to have dogs or no pets. This follows logic; Ennis was close to four-footed animals, those that walk upon the earth. While Jack was not shown to be close to cats, he did hunt birds (eagles) like cats do. And he did throw a fit in order to be able to carve his own turkey!!

No cats at my house I too am terribly allergic, even as a child the barn cats had to stay away from our house. I ha ve dogs and love both Ennis and Jack for different reasons

I love cats. love cats love cats love cats. had em all my life, especialy the outdoorsy ones who needed a home. Like Spot, the Maine Coon I dug out of a dumpster off of Park Avenue, where he had been stuck in a box and thrown away...
now that I'm married we have my wife's dog, who is a very nice old dog, yeah.
but it ain't a cat, it's a dumbassed DOG

Don't do cats, and my prefernce is Ennis in bed: Jack to go out and have a beer and hang with, but I wouldn't bring either home to mother.

Jesus H.! I wasn't raised with pets for medical reasons and I don't have any now, but what poor excuse for a human being could do that to a living animal? >:(

Jeff it was completely freaky. A normal Manhattan day, nice weather, walking down a street and---suddenly a couple of us just stopped. We began looking at each other and it was quite obvious we all had the same thought---can this be?? Is there a BABY buried in there??
The sounds of an infant crying were coming out of that dumpster.
We looked, and climbed up, cause yes that's exactly what we heard. this ' we' included a guy in a suit which cost a few thousand and a classic Park Avenue matron who had just been to the beauty parlor, nails done lol. We started digging. Bare hands. The matron took off a rock the size of gibraltar and said put this in your jeans and if even THINK of taking off I will remove your balls.Then she took off her heels. Make a long story short, the guy in the suit and I heard the sound, said oh no, and jumped back cause it was EXACTLY underfoot, dug like crazy--all of us--and there is this box with screams coming out. Box is opened, a huge cat jumps onto my chest.
Enter one Maine Coon named Spot.

A Tuxedo cat is a black cat with a white chest, white paws and usually white on thier faces. Like they are wearing a tuxedo.
