How useful is the banner at the top of the BetterMost forum index page? What kind of info would you like to see on it? How could we make it most useful? How often would you like to see it updated?

The forum index page is my home page. It's a good way to enter the town of Bettermost. Actually, it reminds me of the boards you see over here when you enter a town or village. A lot of them have a big message board, announcing upcoming events in the town or other important news.
It's also a good way to learn about other threads, i haven't spent that much time on.
I like it. :)

It's my home page too! Is there any other way to get to the threads, without passing the index page?! ???
Anyway, I find it very useful, because you can see at one glance, who answered last and when, what thread.. ehm.. is that clear?
I like having a look at the 'recent post' section, that's where you see what last threads were answered.
I like how the banner changes with each season. :D

I love that newsy little banner with all the site and software updates, pictures and info on events, threads and members. It's kind of like a community bulletin board :D
