One song which is not included in the CD album, though worth of being included, is "Quizas, quizas, quizas" sang by Rick Garcia. Anyone can tell me in which album it is available, as I haven't been so far able to locate it anywhere. Thanks folks,
Luigi

sorry to say, it's not released on any CD. but you can get it here.

Thank you Starboardlight,
real pity they didn't include it in the original CD, and it's not available on any other hard support.

Are you sure that's the BBM version? It sounds like only one man is singing it in the film, solo rather than duet/trio.
On LimeWire, the song is labelled differently, performed by another artist.
-
I'm pretty sure that's the one. The credit says it's Rick Garcia (one man), arranged by Santaolalla. I didn't notice any difference in the singing, but the guitar melody leading into the song is definitely what I hear on that track.

"For whatever it's worth" it sounded to me like only the last few phrases of the song were in the movie...great song--anyone with Spanish enough to translate it? (I KNOW I live in California, but I grew up in Chicago, and everyone didn't learn Spanish there!)

Ah well...close enough! ;D

I do. I can translate Spanish into English or the other way around. What exactly do you need to translate?

Here's the lyric:
Siempre que te pregunto
Que, cuándo, cómo y dónde
Tú siempre me respondes
Quizás, quizás, quizás
Y así pasan los días
Y yo, desesperando
Y tú, tú contestando
Quizás, quizás, quizás
Estás perdiendo el tiempo
Pensando, pensando
Por lo que más tú quieras
¿Hasta cuándo? ¿Hasta cuándo?
Y así pasan los días
Y yo, desesperando
Y tú, tú contestando
Quizás, quizás, quizás
<Instrumental Interlude>
Y así pasan los días
Y yo, desesperando
Y tú, tú contestando
Quizás, quizás, quizás
Estás perdiendo el tiempo
Pensando, pensando
Por lo que más tú quieras
¿Hasta cuándo? ¿Hasta cuándo?
Y así pasan los días
Y yo, desesperando
Y tú, tú contestando
Quizás, quizás, quizás
Here's the translation:
I am always asking you
When, how and where
You always tell me
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
The days pass this way
And I am despairing
And you, you always answer
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
You are wasting time
Thinking, thinking
That which you want most
Until when? Until when?
The days pass this way
And I am despairing
And you, you always answer
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
<Instrumental Interlude>
The days pass this way
And I am despairing
And you, you always answer
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
You are wasting time
Thinking, thinking
That which you want most
Until when? Until when?
The days pass this way
And I am despairing
And you, you always answer
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps

Thanks for posting the lyrics here. I posted them on IMDB a couple months ago, in a post about the use of that song, in the movie, and it's particular placement at THAT point in the film. It's simple but brilliant! It's the heart of the matter, what Jack's heart sings to Ennis's. How long are you gonna keep me twistin' in the wind? When are you gonna finally stop hemming and hawing and just BE with me, start that little calf and cow operation I've been dreaming about since day one?????
Hey, nice to see you here, Luigi! TwoBloodyShirts posted links to two zip files he made of 36 songs and score pieces from BBM. I think there may be one or two other songs from the film that may not be on there...don't know for sure.
What song is playing in Alma Jr.'s car when she drives up to Ennis's trailer? And what song is playing in the Greyhound station when Ennis is pushing pie around his plate? Is the pie/Cassie song "I'm Always on A Mountain When I Fall?"
If you need the link to the 36-song compilation Two_Bloody_Shirts so thoughtfully posted, lemme know and I can email it to you.
