I almost voted for the candle holders. Iron candle holders would come in handy if it was windy outside. They would keep the candles from blowing over.

But then I started thinking about it. What person in their right mind would try to light a candle when it's windy? It would just blow out. Who cares if it gets blown over?

It's a Nutcracker, placed on the knee when seated, a nut is set in the hole and then struck with a small mallet.   AND yes David it is made of metal....In the winter, these were warmed by the fire before using.
