I voted Mars. It's the best chocolate bar ever! :)
Besides, other than Milky Way and Twix, i don't know any of the ones David summed up!
Tootsie Roll, Reese Peanut Butter Cups?? Sounds wonderful, but i'm clueless ??? :)
I just had some of a new 'favorite' candy.
Not a candy bar, I hadn't had these in years.
;D

When I was in school, we used to nibble off the candy pearls one by one, until the gummi was "naked" and only then put it in the mouth. That way four or five of them lasted a long time .
NOW you've gone and done it! :o :o :o :P :P :P(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/6f/Candy-Mounds-Broken.jpg/800px-Candy-Mounds-Broken.jpg)

::) ::) ::)
I remember this was a favorite when I was a kid, but I had one few years ago - YIKES! Sugar overload.

as long as it's chocolate. ;D
salted caramel is all the rage here at the moment. You can even get salted caramel coffees and hot chocolates.
Who knows, maybe one day I'll even understand the appeal of salted popcorn.
(We do have it here too, it's only rarer than the sugared variety, but we don't have buttered popcorn, which I really don't miss ;D)
I've tried something new the other day: salted caramel in chocolate.
You know how over the last years those apparently non-fitting combinations of chocolate and hearty/hot components became ever more popular? Well, I've never been a fan of those. To me it looked like a lifestyle gag: look at me, I'm so cool, I eat chocolate with red pepper. ::)
Now someone gave me a chocolate bar with salted caramel and what can I say? I love it! caramel with a clear side-taste of salt is great. Who would have thought.

Really? What kind of popcorn do they sell at the cinema? Do they sell popcorn at all at the cinema?
One of my clients is a caramel maker. A little secret...most caramel has always contained salt!!
Of course popcorn belongs to the cinema experience! And of course it's sugared! I've never seen freshly made salted popcorn anywhere except at the German-American fairs
then there's candy coated corn
Ou sont les neiges d'antan? :(
Lots of sweet things contain a little salt, used as a spice; just like many hearty recepies contain a pinch of sugar.
But the salted caramel I'm speaking of really tastes (a little) salty.
Which reminds me of my grand-aunt. For her, salad was a sweet dish. She always put enough sugar in it that the whole salad tasted sweet. Hers was the only salad I liked when I was a kid. ;D
I'm TOTALLY dating myself here, but--I LOVED Cracker Jack!--but I haven't tasted it in decades, but--
Cracker Jack is famous for its connection to baseball lore.
I was never a fan of cracker jack. Tried it once, that was enough.
I find it too sweet. Never cared much for caramel corn, either, though lately I've found it to be OK.
I agree with you. In the past when I've been given a three-way tub of popcorn (salted, cheese and caramel flavors) the caramel is always the last to go. Cheese usually first.
yes, not as strong as the Cracker Jack box style.
I've never tried salted caramel, but dark chocolate with a pinch of salt is very good.
Ghirardelli now makes salted dark chocolate with almonds.
