Lili Marlene--all of it.
« on: May 16, 2007, 03:24:01 am »
Ouside the barracks, by the great gate
stood a lantern, and stands there still.
There we'll meet again, we'll stand by the latern,
as once, Lili Marlene; As one, Lili Marlene.

Our two shadows looked like one
That we loved eachther, anyone coud see right away
And everone shall see it, when we stand by the lantern,
As once, Lili Marlene; as one, Lili Marlene.

Your stride it knows, your beautiful steps
it burns every evenig, but forgot me long ago.
And if something should happen to me,
who will stand by the lantern with you, Lili Marlene?

Out of the silent space, out of the earth's ground,
your loved mouth rises, as in a dream
and when the late mists turn,
who will stand by the lantern with you, Lili Marlene?
