Name Our New Fur Baby Poll
« on: May 22, 2007, 09:32:53 am »
Rick and I lasted about one month without a fur baby.  We didn't think we would be ready this soon, but, we miss the company.  Losing Rupert was tough, but we know that he would want us to share our lives with another companion.

Here he is.  The breeder sent this picture of our new baby, and since we are having a tough time coming up with a name, I thought I would post a poll.  One of the names above, is the puppy's whelping box name, and one is the name we are leaning toward, but suggestions are welcome.  We are very happy and very excited.

OMG, he's adorable! If he were going to be mine, I'd just call him Buddy because that's what he would be, my buddy.

But I'll suggest "Arthur."

He is so cute Scott! I like Sam for a name.

Awww, is there anything cuter than a puppy? What a sweet baby he is. Look how the white hairs on his chest fluff up over the black ones. Adorable!
I'm happy for you that you and Rick gave in to the urge of having a dog in your life again. That's really good news.

For the name: I voted for Quincy, but I also like Jeff's idea very much: Buddy.

If he were mine I'd name him Harley or Barney, like Jeff's Buddy too, but I know you like baseball Scott so I picked Fenway.  They add such dimension to our lives, don't they, even when we lose a beloved one, there is always room in the heart and home for one more.  So much unconditional love and joy from one small, soon to be larger, package.  Dogs, pets really, but dogs especially are blessing.

I think naming a pet should be done thinking of the fact that most of the pet's life will be as a mature animal.  So you should give a dignified and proud name.  May I suggest Toast as a name for your fur pet.
Then your pet names for your pet could be
Toasty for those warm cuddly days,
Toaster for those dominant forceful days,
Toast for formal occasions,
Mr. Toast for chummy days,
Toasted for tired and restful times
....

Hmmm...now where would you come up with such a unique name?  Hmmm.
