Poor Alma, she really is a tragic figure in all of this. I don't understand how Tomtrueman (IMDb) was always hating on Alma so much; I don't think it was her fault, at all. Ennis promised to love, cherish and be faithful to her. He should have left her alone before marrying her in the first place.
