I have a picture of Jake & Heath hanging in my work cubicle (thanks to co-workers).  This pic was taken in December as the movie was being released (Heath has his mustache / goatee thing). 

The boys are standing in front of a pool table.  Suprisingly, I just noticed that Heath is wearing a light, tiny striped button up shirt & jeans.  Jake is wearing a dark T-shirt & a dark button up denim type long sleeve shirt & jeans.  (No cowboy hats!)  Do you think they were told what to wear?

Chris - Yeah, that's the one.  They are kinda mirroring the clothing they wore on Brokeback, don't ya think?

Maybe it was subconcsious?!

When I look at Jack/Ennis/Jake/Heath, I feel so comfortable and used to them. Like, they are old friends and I know them quite well. I know that's pretty weird!

Jake's face cracks me up in that picture, he's kind of like, "Yeah? whatchoo looking at, punk." LOL only in Jarhead did I buy that tough kid act Jake...

He said he put on 20 lbs while Michelle was pregnant. I think we're seeing a bit of that in this pic. It's cute.

Holee crap that's a nice picture.

What I think of, ironically, is the killer mechanics.  When I glance at it and glance away I think they're leaning against a car.

That's from... ummm... Premiere? When they were on the cover? If so, I suspect that there was plenty of planning that went into the clothes they wore during the photo shoot. So the color choices probably were deliberate... just enough to suggest the characters, without dressing both of them up in cowboy hats.

i see what you mean. i always think of love-handles being on the side. but yes, that little bit of "overhang" is cute on him.

I have a cool story regarding that Entertainment Weekly (well, it's probably only cool to me). I love that picture of those two but I was never able to pick up a copy (much like the Variety ad). Well, last week, my job was having a book/magazine/DVD/CD sale to benefit the March of Dimes. And do you know what I found at the bottom of a large pile of old mags? That one!
I also got the Esquire with Ennis on the front. Too cool! I have them up in my closet with my 9/11 newpapers and Beatles magazines from when they released the anthology.

Thanks for all the fun photo posts!  I'm increasingly interested in seeking out pictures of Jake and Heath together (production snapshots, shots like these press/ awards appearances)... anything that's not a typical shot from the movie.
