Ok Susie, I,m from the UK so I should know most of these lol.



1.    I’m feelin’ a bit moby today.  moby dick= sick


2.     According to the hickory we’re late.  hickory dock=clock


3.     I put on me best whistle.  whistle and flute= suit


4.     Allo’ me old china. not sure of the exact meaning but it,s generally a term of affection from an old bloke to his misses(or so I beleive)


5.    He always rabbits on about something. rabbiting on= never stops talking


6.    Them bloody teapots are under foot again. not 100% sure about this one?


7.    She’s always on the dog.  dog and phone=phone


8.    I  kicked this geezer in the berlins.  berlins= balls


9.    My bloody pitch kept me late again. dunno, pass  ???


10.     Old Jim is brown. dunno again?   ???


11.    Get your plates off the table. plates of meat=feet


12.    He shouldn’t be drivin’, he’s elephants.  elephants=pissed..ie had too much to drink


13.    It’s my shout, I’ll get you a pig.  not sure


14.    My bloody cherry ran off again. not sure


15.    I’d like you to meet the trouble.  trouble and strife=wife


16.    I’ve lost the keys to the mickey.    pass


17.    I’ve got no sausage.  pass


18.    Next thing I know he's got his Oliver in my face. pass


19.    That sounds robin. pass


20.    'e can't afford it - 'e ain't got a corn. obviously means your skint but I,m not sure exactly.

How did I do then? bit useless for a fellow Brit really lol.

Oh gosh, I'll have to think of something different to do next time ... perhaps english dialects!!!

For instance, if someone from Newcastle said to you "I'm gannin doon the toon" would you know what they meant??!!
