RIP dear Maxi, and long live Tina, who looks very sturdy as well as very cute!  :-*

David, I loved the name Rocky, too, but my roommate didn't, so in the end my kitty became Artie.  He's cute either way!  ;)

Nah, she needs a brush once a week. Even though she'll have a lot of fur, it's easy to maintain.
For now, I brush her every 2 or 3 days, so she gets used to it. Bought a new (different) brush this week. A revelation! I LOVE the new brush.

She's so cute, we're madly in love. :)

So sad for the doggies who've passed away.   :(

So happy for the arrival of new ones who bring unconditional love and affection.

Gorgeous animals.

Blind Dog Gets Guide Dog
Canine friend walks golden retriever on leash
 By Matt Cantor,  Newser Staff
Posted May 1, 2012 4:44 PM CDT

(Newser) – Tanner was a golden retriever who suffered from blindness and seizures; Blair was a homeless pup who had been shot. Now, the two are best buddies—and they're helping each other cope, the New York Daily News  reports. The two were playing together at an Oklahoma animal hospital when "Blair all of a sudden seemed to realize that Tanner was blind and just started to help him around," a veterinarian tells Tulsa's KTUL.

Not only does Tanner now have a guide dog; his seizures have also gotten less frequent, and the shy Blair is becoming more friendly. "It’s the first time I’ve seen anything like this, the special relationship these two dogs have," the vet says. Shelter officials hope they can be adopted as a pair. Click through for video of Blair walking Tanner on a leash.

Tanner, a blind Golden Retriever in Tulsa, Okla., met a compatible seeing canine named Blair at
the Woodland West Animal Hospital.
