Thank you, friends. I haven't been able to go over to my mom's house since then. My daughter is staying in close touch with her.

I have something fun scheduled on Satruday...a tour of Denver chicken coops!!

Wear a surgical mask. You might inhale something dangerous.  :P

Hi! I have a pet as well. A parrot; an African Grey or in Dutch grijze roodstaart. His name is Harley and he talks a lot. He even made it to our local newspaper http://www.deweekkrant.nl/files/pdfarchief/ZDB/20090930/ZBR_ZDB-1-21_090930_1.pdfon october 4th 'pet day'. He has an enormous cage in my livingroom; with swing, bath, several sticks and other toys, a lot of balls to play with and extra stairs to climb up the cage in case he accidentally falls to the ground. I have him for 8 years now, and he is 20 years old.

Welcome Jacky!  Does he keep you up nights talking?

Hi delalluvia, no not at night. He got his own day-night rhythm. He even announces that he is going to sleep: "I'm going to sleep now" and climbs on to his sleeping branch! But in the morning, at about 07:30 he is awake and climbs on to the door of his cage and start calling me: "Joehoe, are you upstairs? Sleeping? Where are you? You can come now." If I really want him to be quiet, I have to close the curtains the night before; that works allways. He's a funny guy! I would like to upload a photo of him in a tent, but I don't know how to do that.  :'(

ATTENTION!!  VERY IMPORTANT!!  Don't forget that "Mischief Night" or "Devil's Night" is coming.  Sickos will take unattended animals and harm or kill them for "fun" because of that night.  Animals owners, keep your pets inside the next few nights, or when they're out, keep a close eye on them!

Thanks for the reminder.  Better safe than sorry.
