Yikes!  Well, here's hoping that's really a Blaze meets Forest visual. :)

Your boy looks lovely!
My present whippet, now six, is a joy but I remember when he was an 8 week old puppy!
I was seriously questioning my sanity for awhile but was worth it in the end.
I take my boy to work every day and he sleeps in his daybed all day.

Whippets are very missunderstood, most people think they are hyper but I've never owned one.
I tell people that if they want a good watch dog, don't get a whippet.

Oh, wow!  Another whippet owner at Bettermost!!!!  I'd love to see a photo of your boy when you have a chance.  What's his name?

Here's a recent photo of Forest:

I'm pleased to say that he's fitting in nicely, knock on wood.  He had a vet visit today and weighed in at 21.6  pounds.

Well, Ember has a new brother.  He's actually her nephew. (Her sister had puppies in September.)

She is less than thrilled, but she's a cautious girl under the best of circumstances. It will definitely take some time before they are best buds. Today was better than yesterday, so I'm feeling a bit more optimistic.

As for his name, I'm not sure. His breeder had been calling him "Foggy," but that doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.  Whatever his name is, he's going to puppy class tomorrow.

In the meantime, I'm exhausted.  You know, this really seemed like a good idea at the time.  :)

Awwwwww!!!! How CUTE!!!! Just look at his cute little furry face!!!

"Forest"

I love the name!

I am quite certain both he and Ms Ember will get along just fine!
Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.

Thanks, David.

Here's a close-up of Forest:

I've yet to get a good shot of him and Ember together.  It's hard to photograph perpetual motion, and the photos of them stopping to drink from the water bowl are, let's face it, boring.
