My advice to Mr. Downey is, If you can't think of anything good to say, the shut the f--k up. Not only is he, by virtue of of his criticism scorning the millions who have seen understood and enjoyed TDK. He is also revealing, that he is not overly blessed in the grey matter department as he obviously struggled with the plot.
It all smacks very much of sour grapes.

I respectfully disagree. If he didn't like the movie, he should say so. And so what if millions of people have seen this movie. That doesn't mean a thing as to the merits of the movie. I've been reading reader's reviews on the New York Times website. Lots of people thought it was very good, some thought it was way overrated or too serious but no one was told to shut up.

Ah, he's just jealous TDK kicked Iron Man's ass.  ;)

It looks like Robert Downey Jr. won't be working with Christopher Nolan any time soon.   :)

Just like I don't think Randy Quaid will be asked to play anybody in Ang's new film Taking Woodstock.

Sorry, this is way OT (I don't want to start a RandyRandyRandy thread), but here is a hilarious picture of RQ as Colonel John Falstaff in the doomed musical "Lone Star Love":

And oh boy, that show was doomed! It closed before it opened, I think.

(I'm late in saying this, but Chrissi, you should not decide more often.  :))

Oh, those pictures are cute! Especially with Matilda! Oh I totally melt every time I see him doing things that people would normally do! Especially the pictures when he was younger and when he smiles. I love it when he had that green hat on at one of the BBM meetings. *sigh*

Btw, as for Robert Downey Jr.'s dislike towards TDK, I really don't give a damn. To tell you truth, I'm glad he spoke his mind about the movie. He didn't like the movie, fine! So what! I mean we ALL don't have to like the same things! His statement was a bit harsh BUT at the same time, some of it actually makes sense. Please don't bash me you guys but... :o...in a way, TDK was kind of hard to understand. The story was good but I felt that it was bit intense in some corners of it. Please forgive me and I should've put it on the "The Dark Knight" thread. :'(

But, listen everyone, it's okay not to like the same thing. That's what makes us different from eachother and unique. TDK and "Iron Man" are both different movies with different styles and tastes.
