Oooooo.. thank you Lori, another update so soon. You've got us on the edge of our seats again.

SPOILER

Good to se that Jack's mum isn't as bad as he expected. A trip to Gilette beckons eh? Could prove interesting! Fair play to Jack for standing up to his dad - I do like Jack with his blood up. I just knew there was gonna be a backlash to the party kiss. Why do people have to be so closed minded?

Once again, beathlessly awaiting the next chapter

I am really impressed by the way you are writing Jack's handling his parents---tender enough with Mom and tough enough with Dad--can hardly wait to see where you take us with them.

Spoiler??..........

Thank YOU very much for the newest update------HOWEVER------------!!!!!!!!!
Dog gone it Lori---for heaven't sake don't leave us up on this cliff-----we need rescuing NOW!!
OMG--I thought my stomach was bugging me from the last chapter----sheeesh---it wasn't the chicken, it was this newest chapter--OMG!!  Don't let any of the animals or people be hurt okay!!
I hate this!! It is the one thing I am really worried about most of the time around our place too.
YYYEEEEWWWWW!!!!

You know I have been thinking, this isn't just vandalism now, we are talking BIG BUCKS of damage here, as well as  arson---they should be able to catch them and really really prosecute them like prison prosecute.

Whoo-wee - how happy was I to find an update this morning!

SPOILER

Oh dear - so much grief for the boys to deal with. What nasty piece of work set fire to the stables then eh? Ennis will be devastated if any of his beloved horses are harmed. Oh no - just had a thought, didn't they get Junior a new horse for Christmas?

Too much angst. And Ennis doesn't even have Jack with him. On that note I hope that Jack's mum turns out to be OK. Or perhaps a move to Vermont might be in order????

Arghhhh... hanging on for next update.

just wanted to say, I'm loving these fast updates lately!! Thanks  :D
‘cause the truth is, I already give him everythin’ I got to give, more than I ever even knew I had; ‘n it all for him, all of it, him who is my brother, my father, my child, my friend, my lover, my heart, my soul; my Ennis.

Yipee - another new chapter today!!! Thank you Lori!!!  ;D

http://community.livejournal.com/humaninterest/60646.html

I love this fic!!

SPOILER

So, we may soon know who the snakes in the grass are. How will Jack react when he hears about the attack on the stables (at least it wasn't the house I guess)? I'm glad that Lizzie didn't tell him anything. No point getting him worried with Ennis asleep. I loved the fact that both boys feel the absence of the other so keenly, they just compliment each other and work better as a partnership.

Jack: “Times like this I surely miss Ennis. I know y’all think that I’m Mr. Sunny-Side-Up, saying everythin’s okay. Whatcha don’t know is I’m only able ta be like that cause I got him backin me up.”

Is Mamma Twist going to be moving to Vermont? She can live a the 'girls' house maybe. Not sure I'd like to see old ManTwist there though.

Right, I'm off to read it again.

Not sure what is going on--my fanfic.net link only goes to 17.  And I can't find 18 at all, not through your link either.
BUT I do have the link to LJ, and that is working fine.
Is anyone else having any problems getting the new chapter on ff.n?
