Kelda: Also, Walmart are giving a lot of space to this new area of religious stuff - yet they won't sell brokeback and other gay themed consumables (I'm correct in saying that, am I not?)  because of religious groups protests? Why not equal opportunities when it comes to shelf space?

Actually, the Wal-Mart in my town sold Brokeback.  I think they all do.

What no Salome, with separate head of John the Baptist on a silver plate.  Or  Queen Esther who single handedly saved the Jews from anhialation.  I guess faith is still aimed at the forskin crowd.

The Walmarts in Indiana sell/sold Brokeback Mountain too, Laura. But when I bought my copy on the first day of its DVD release, the cashier gave me some disparaging looks and a couple of smart ass comments too.  :(

You should've complained. She isn't suppose to tell you anything. Companies react well to bigotry complaints regardless of their corporate ideals. Next time ask for the manager or tell her to shut up.

Exactly.  She's not being paid to express her personal opinions on the clock.
