Technical problems - slow sign in, etc.

Hi BetterMostians,

about two weeks ago we had problems with very slow reception from the BetterMost site. Our technical wizzard John pinpointed the problem and was able to solve it. For the vast majority of members BetterMost is running normal since then.

Alas, some members reported they still encounter slowness, especially at the sign in. John has repeatedly tried to retrace the problems, but wasn't successful yet. You can help John by being as exact as possible when you report a technical problem.

For example "logging in has been slow for the last weeks" is very general and doesn't give much to work with. It's better to be precise and add one or a few examples, when exactly it happened (time and date, and please also indicate your time zone). And also report how long the slow logging in process took. A minute? Five minutes?


Another point is that slowness or other problems are not related to your account settings. There is no account setting that slows down access to the server or causes other problems.
Thus, we can't "change your account settings back", because they weren't changed to begin with.

Each time I've opened up BM the last few weeks, I get a pop-up Security Alert that says something like "Revocation information for this site is not available.  Do you want to continue?"  Then I click on Yes, then it brings the same pop-up back again, and I click on Yes again, and finally it lets me open the site.  It doesn't take too long; it's just that I'd never seen that message that I have to say Yes to, before the last few weeks.  Once I'm in, everything's fine.

I last logged on about an hour ago in CST.  Hope that helps.  Thanks.
