Hiya BetterMost friends!!!!

long time, no see on my blog!

Work has been going well since I got back from Boston.  It's been keeping me busy, but I've managed to stay on top of everything.

One thing I don't think I mentioned was that, back before the holidays, my freezer stopped working.  The refrigerator was working fine.  I called the super, and he told me it was the responsibility of property management to take care of this.  I told them that I didn't use the freezer often, and I knew everyone was busy with holidays, and to wait until the new year.

I didn't call them back to remind them, because I knew I would be in Boston in March, and  this way I would empty out the fridge, and they would have an empty apartment to work with.  I started buying smaller amounts of food so I wouldn't have to freeze anything, and it worked perfectly.

When I got home, I found out that they couldn't repair the freezer, so I had a brand new fridge/freezer in the apartment.

;D

Now that I have the freezer back, I'm thinking I do some shopping at Omaha Steaks and get some frozen meats to keep there.

Now, for today (04/26).  Last night was a quiet night, so I decided that today would be a busy day.

My laundry is folded and put away.  I took all the tchotchkes and dusted them, and then dusted the dresser tops in the bedroom, and finally vacuumed when all that was done.

Then,  I did the same thing with the living room.  I also moved the tables and couch, and vacuumed under them.  It's not a full spring clean, but it's a deeper clean than usual.

If I feel like it later, I may do a surface clean of the kitchen and bathroom.

Tomorrow I'll take down the Easter lights, and put up the Memorial Day lights, and then mop the floors before bed, so everything will be nice and fresh by bedtime.

Just the opposite here. The freezer continued to work fine, but the refrigerator cabinet stopped working. As long as I need to spend time at the house, I need a functioning refrigerator, so I bought the most bottom-line one I could find.

Thanks for the update; you guys always inspire me with your cleaning and holiday celebrating. What with Easter, Palm Sunday, and a jungle getting started in my yards, I haven't had much time for spring cleaning yet. I do focus on trying to keep my bedroom clean because it helps me and my cat breathe easier at night. Also, I've made progress on cataloguing and reorganizing my books (I've done 350 so far and estimate I'll top out at 500), reorganizing the linen closet, and getting the food in my fridge and freezer more under control. A breakdown in that department would be a disaster!

Hiya Chuck!

You'll never guess what song I heard on the radio the other day!
It made me immediately think of you!
Clue: it contains a number between 98 and 100.

Patriotic colors around the perimeter of the large picture window, and the stars in the smaller windows on either side of the picture window.

So, when I saw my family for Easter, I gave my brother a bday card with $20.00 in scratch off tickets in it.  His birthday was March, but he didn't come down for his bday.

When he opened it, he said he didn't want to exchange, so he gave me the tickets back, but said he appreciated the thought.

I scratched them off yesterday, I won $25.00.  So I made $5.00.

I took those winning tickets to a convenience store today, and got $25.00 in new tickets.  I just scratched them off, and won $150.00.

Wow, Chuck! You give new life to the saying, "Third time's a charm!"

If anyone's voting on whether Chuck should buy $150 worth of lottery tickets, I say don't.
