Betty Hutton replaced Judy Garland ("health problems") in the title role.  Also, Frank Morgan (the Wizard) was to costar, but died shortly after filming began.

Tough choice:  1950 also had All About Eve and Alberta Vacation (!) starring Bing Crosby.

I dedicate this answer to Mr. Heath Andrew Ledger, famed Brooklyn Buckaroo.

Starring Wally Brown.  Couldn't find an image.

(P.S. I just realized I did "W" and "Y" in the last round.  Sorry for not skipping two turns.)

A poisoned man has a few hours to find out whodunnit.

[first lines]
Homicide Detective: Can I help you?
Frank Bigelow: I'd like to see the man in charge.
Homicide Detective: In here...
Frank Bigelow: I want to report a murder.
Homicide Captain: Sit down. Where was this murder committed?
Frank Bigelow: San Francisco, last night.
Homicide Captain: Who was murdered?
Frank Bigelow: I was.
