I can't say that I am familiar with this movie, but it features Randy Quaid as Sheriff Loomis, and Charlie Sheen in the lead.

there was another, more interesting movie, about a Chinese girl entering into an arranged marriage with a boy of 2, however it appeared to be released in 1990... couldn't quite understand why it was listed under 1986...

I have to say I agree with this comment on the film from IMDb

"Reeve is a commanding presence and the production values are pretty good in this story of survival, but Arquette's character (or is it really her?) is SO annoying that it's hard to believe anyone would risk his life for her. She wrecks the film."
