I think it's Alkmaar.

I've seen that building before. The large building in the middle of the picture. That looks like the weighing house where they weigh all the cheese.

Am I correct?

I'm positive I've seen that building before. I've either seen it in pictures, or I might have seen it in person when I was in the Netherlands.

Don't pay any attention to what I said, because I probably have no idea what I'm talking about.  ???

I think you're right David. It isn't Brugge.   :)

Hey!  >:(

Who else voted for Alkmaar besides me?  >:(

I was hoping I would be the only one who got it right.  ;)  :D

Melissa, when will we know who got it right?

I have to admit it's the latter... *blushes*

Got so much on my mind now...

The answer is... ALKMAAR!

Alkmaar is an extremely beautiful city Melissa. You're very lucky to have come from such a pretty place in the world. When I first looked at the picture of Alkmaar you posted, it made me want to float down that canal in a boat with my boyfriend, a blanket, a bucket of strawberries and a bottle of champagne. The picture looked very romantic.

And HEY HEY HEY!!! I guessed the correct city too!! YAY!! What did I win? Please tell me it will be a gorgeous, hunky, young Dutchmen with fabulous blond hair and bright blue eyes!!  ;)  :D

Well that's zero out of five so far ... I'm on a roll!!  No wonder I got a "D" in Geography!  :-\

Susie

Well, at least that's better than getting an F in Geography!  ;)  :D

I might have had an unfair edge on this quiz Susie. Melissa and I have been emailing each other nightly for almost 2 years. I knew she was from Alkmaar, so I had an inkling she could have possibly posted a picture of her hometown.

But.... I didn't know for certain. So we can't exactly call it cheating, can we?  ;)
