I would just go ahead and lose the first round so I could have a stress free trip around the world!

Do they get to continue travelling around the world with the rest of the team Jess? I didn't know that. But yeah I agree with you there. I'd certainly miss the million dollars (ain't no doubt!) but a free trip around the world would be a very nice consolation prize!

well now that I watched some more, I guess they don't..they all go to a particular location and stay there til the race is over. This time it is in Thailand and they get to go do different activities...

that sounds good to me too!!

No they dont go with them..... there is always an elimination destination and it just so happens that the destination was Thailand this time. They basically rent a fancy villa in some country out of the way of other tourists for the month of the race and as each team is eliminated they are taken to the villa. It just so happens this time the place where the elimination destination is - Thialand - is also a place where TAR goes this season.

Its been Mexico, Portugal & Greece a few times I believe.

Towards the end the teams do follow stll racing teams - ie the final 5 because

a) they wouldnt have time to go to the elimination villa and then get back to the final destination city for the final mat
b) they act as decoys and actually complete a lot of the tasks. So that folk realsing its TAR don't spill the beans with the final 3.

There has actually been a few instances where teams have somehow managed to get a flight to the next destaintion BEFORE Phil. It happens very very rarely but olin and Christie managed it n season 5 and I think Charla and Mirna managed to do that in All Stars too.

There has also been occasions where teams have been on the same flight as Phil too.

oooh! I loved the race tonight.. all the memories of India and Jaipur were fresh in my mind - so I was 'squeeing' for much of the episode cos I could work out exactly where they were almost 99% of the episode. I could even work out what taxi rank they used at the airport!!

I've been to the Amber fort, (the inside is AMAZING its a shame they didn't actually go in) & to the Jaigur fort - I actually stood where the pit stop was!! - and walked around those baazars where they did the detours. The clips of the sites the showed, the palace of the winds and the water palace are also main tourist areas

The only place I didn't know was the tree  where the girls did their speedbump..

I love Mel & MIke. Mel rocked that roadblock. I as so worried he would lag behind. And they had such fun while th otherd got so upset.

It was shame that he girls went out. I thought for sure that they would get 6th when they finished the detour before the brothers. Jaigur fort is well known and  you can only get to it one way - its up a big hill - so the guys must have had a hugely hugely fast taxi driver, who passed up the girls at some point along the way.
