Good plate, David.

Morning all. 64 degrees, sunny, beautiful blue sky. It looks like a wonderful day out there...

Sunrise in Newark.  1997.

Not that Newark has a warm spot in my heart, but it is what you see in the background that moves me.

Right you are, David.  :(

Love the license plate, though.  ;D

I agree 100%.    In many ways we have almost too much Freedom here.      Nothing says "Behave" more than a machine gun.    I am happy that I don't have to carry one.     Although there have been a few times that I wish I had a tazer!     But I'd probably use it on on co-workers more!   LOL.

This comment I must of misunderstood. Don't seem right ta me.

Now guess who said the following - another comment I read this morning ...

"Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do and how you do it."

yes it was an american - politician, a course

any guesses?

Oh just stupid stuff.     Like being able to sue McDonalds because you spilled hot coffee on your own lap.
Ain't nothin wrong with the suin - it's what the courts decide that's criminal, IMO

The fact that people think it is ok to have a dozen or so handguns in their house and maybe a few assault weapons.     The US has more deaths by guns in a single city than most other countries have year round.
OK you got me on that one ...

The right for Fred Phelps to come to your funeral with signs that says you are going to hell because God hates fags.
I believe he should have the 'freedom' ta do this - too bad some people think it's appropriate, though

and don't even get me started on the ACLU and some of the rediculous causes they defend.
Don't know what those letters represent, but if they're a right's protection group, aren't they just fulfillin their mandate, aren't they?

Let's see.. it is poorly written and makes no sense.   Um,  G. Dubya?    :P

No! - Right party though (surprise, surprise!!)

That sounds like some stupid crap John McCain would say. He's talking out his butt a lot lately.  >:(

 morning David,

is it the weekend for you?

IT is 54 degrees and raining, and the day promises scattered thunderstorms, and I am shivering in my motel room and not wanting to cave in and turn on the heat.

the sun has risen at last.

UV Index:         0 Low
Wind:       From WNW at 2 mph
Humidity:       95%
Pressure:       30.02 in.
Dew Point:       54°F
Visibility:       10.0 miles

and that is the official Portland weather report.
But I dont have a neat inside-outside thermometer like Leslie does.  stand by for photo.

the No Tell Motel - picnic area.
