Hi there, 1000+ers. I'm back from Europe and wanted to check in. Congrats to Kelda and Artiste!
Fabienne is a very gracious hostess indeed! After picking me up at my friends' house, we headed to Leuven, a beautiful university town outside of Brussels, where we walked and walked, working up an appetite.

We landed at the Oesterbar (pronounced oosterbar, I learned;

The wine flowed, and so did the conversation! Talk of all our favorite Brokies, past trips, future trips, our ongoing interest, and life in general.
We picked up Fabienne's girls at school, relaxed with the kitties in the garden with a kriek until Dirk came home. Fabienne has the most beautiful, giant, blown-up-on-canvas photo of Upper Kananaskis Lake in her office. Wow!
As a bonus, Fabienne gave me her copy of
Queen's Gambit which I've been devouring.
Dank u, Fabienne, for a wonderful day I'll always remember!
