At my previous job I was able to surf the web all day if I wanted.   Ah, I miss those days!   LOL.

I go without the Internet for 18 hours and look what happens! Yee-haw!

We had torrential downpours, wind, rain, power outages and internet outages. What a day and night. Today is sunny but windy. Very windy. Makes for a brisk time in the outdoor shower...yes, still there. The indoor shower has been purchased but not installed--hopefully today.

We have abandoned the heated floor but I am still hoping for a heated towel rack. I'll keep ya'll posted.

Sunday evening update...

I was promised a new bathroom by the end of the weekend. It is 8 pm and guess what? The bathroom is not finished. (I am not surprised). Worse, I have just found out that as part of this renovation project, he has disconnected the heat. Yes, the HEAT. So now I have no bathroom and no heat. You guys are probably wondering why I put up with this....hee hee hee  I will leave that to your imagination.

I am watching Capote....Hoffman is good in this, very very good...

I will be showering outdoors again for the forseeable future.

Wind sends crane crashing

165-foot crane being used at a construction site at Maine Medical Center in Portland fell onto three buildings on Ellsworth and Wescott streets Sunday morning. This was the scene as viewed from Maine Medical looking out onto Wescott Street. The white house on the right fronts Ellsworth.
