Morning all,

L

Indeed! Bring your scarf and mittens!

And then just sing this.......

The snow is snowing and the wind is blowing
But I can weather the storm!
What do I care how much it may storm?
For Ive got my love to keep me warm

I cant remember a worse december
Just watch those icicles form!
Oh, what do I care if icicles form?
Oh, Ive got my love to keep me warm

Off with my overcoat, off with my glove
I need no overcoat, Im burning with love!
My hearts on fire, the flame grows higher
So I will weather the storm!
What do I care how much it may storm?
Oh, Ive got my love to keep me warm

I'm not much into alot of Holiday music, but that song goes nice on a stormy winters day.  Especially if you find an older version.

Morning all,

18 degrees this morning and the wind has stopped. Apparently a big storm is heading our way and when I give tomorrow's weather report, I may be telling you about snow!

Good Morning Leslie!

Same here.  The wind has finally settled down and now we have snow coming this afternoon.     I wonder what the drive home from work tonight will be like at 10 pm?    :-\

If anyone is interested in my historic house tour, I wrote about it in my blog, "From The World International Headquarters" over on "Our Daily Thoughts."

Oh dear, David. I hope you can get a ride home in an SUV or a room at a hotel near the airport if possible. After the blizzards in Denver last year, that's what I'm planning to do this year. It's just not worth the effort to spend three or four hours trying to get home and then have to be towed most of the way anyway. Not unless I can get studded tires.

Thanks for telling us about the house tour, Leslie! I will definitely go over and take a look!

A storm seemed to be brewing in the Rocky Mountains yesterday but it is warm (relatively) and sunny today, which is good. My son, who ran in the Bolder Boulder last May while I was at the BBQ, is running in the Colder Boulder this morning!!

I woke up to see NYC blanketed in snow this morning!  This may never happen again, that I get snow before Leslie or Lee get it.  ;D

That's great about your snow in NYC, Meryl. But my first snow was October 14th and I reported it here!!

We had snow yesterday afternoon, enought to quickly go out and build a snowman.  Then more snow coming down when I first woke up this morning.  Everyone pause to savor, before moving on to the next paragraph.  :)

Now it is raining and mushslushmelting.

I feel so ashamed!  It's 50 degrees F, sunny with a light wind (though it will be windier later) while the rest of America descends into thick ice, snowstorms, slush and chaos, the Republic of San Francisco remains an island of calm.

But we did have a 5.7 earthquake on Halloween, so maybe that isn't quite an island of calm!
