About Get Smart -- that is just brilliant casting, I think. Anne will be great, and Steve Carell couldn't be more perfect as Maxwell Smart. It's almost like they were waiting for him to come along before they could do a remake. I used to love that show. I sure hope it turns out well.

Another show I used to love: The Mod Squad. Too bad they messed up the remake of that one. They could do it now and have Peggy Lipton's daughter play Julie!

Steve Carrell?     Ugh.   The is something about him I don't like.   Too smug maybe.   

As bumbling as Maxwell Smart was, you just couldn't help feel sorry for him.  Don Adams pulled it off well.

I actually think Steve Carell has that quality, too. Even on The Office, where he's playing the world's biggest oafish boorish clueless jerk, he makes the character somehow sympathetic and even, occasionally and briefly, likable.
