Wow, thanks for the welcome everyone!  So what do you guys do here in the exclusive 1000+ Posts Club, reminisce about the old days?  ;D  I have to say that I don't venture very far from the film threads so I'm out of my comfort zone  ;)

There ain't no reins on it, Gil.  Whatever strikes your fancy is fine.  Let's just say we know a great deal about the weather in Maine and Germany, what to do when you go through security at airports, what's growing in people's gardens and who has hit a posting milestone, among many other things.  :)

That is so sweet!  Thank you!  And a great shot of him too.  My mother said that she had picked out the name Alain for me but was talked out of it by some relatives.  So instead I was baptized as Gilles, which I don't really care for (see the Watteau painting below for a clue as to why.) so I later shortened it to Gil.

Oh and Artiste, the cigarette doesn't bother me at all!  I still find smoking sexy (to look at, anyway, not so much to smell and taste  :P)
