interesting gif of the sewing machine!

Hiya everyone!

Hiya Chuck!

I forgot to comment on the sewing machine: thanks for posting, C :-*
Believe it ot not, that's one of those radnom questions which sometimes run through my mind. "How exactly does a sewing machine work? The part with taking the lower thread over the upper one?"
Exactly what you posted, so thanks.

This American food thing is complicated. What's molasses?  ???

"slow as molasses" is an American expression, too...  cause the molasses drips SOOO slowly...

 :)

(or maybe that's just a southern expression?)

I think it means you need to host a Brokie gathering in Maine. I've never been to Maine.  8)

Did anybody want a lobster roll?

Great idea!!!

I've never been to Maine and I've never had any of the foodstuffs you New Englanders are always talking about!  (well, I've used molasses in cooking.)

Addendum: L, you can organize this after you and Hannah get back from visiting Chrissi, 'kay?

 ;)

PS - Just don't make it for early October, Thanksgiving, or Early June (I have places I already have to be at those times.)

 ;D

Actually, Maine in October would be nice with the fall colour and all.

I have been looking at this for a couple of minutes and thought some of you might find it interesting as well.  It's how a sewing machine basically works:

This bears repeating.  Fun gif!  8)

Maine or Germany, I just like the direction you're goin'.  Have a great visit, Leslie and Chrissi.  8)

I have just made reservations...Hannah and I will be with Chrissi and her family in September for a week long visit. So, if needed, I'll bring the bug repellent! We are excited about our trip.

L

Yay Leslie - enjoy!

And Chrissi - it sounds like a nice night regardless of the Mossies!

Well, tomorrow morning, way too early, I am off for my annual "pilgrimage" to Provincetown, Massachusetts, for some badly needed relaxation in that good sea air at the tip of Cape Cod. Don't know if I'll get back on here before I leave. I'll be back home Monday evening.  :)

Have a nice, relaxing vacation Jeff!!  Provincetown is so great.  I'm jealous.

Hey!  I've just been noticing that this evening Childress and Riverton are almost exactly the same temperatures (both have been in the mid to low 90s for much of the afternoon/ evening).  Maybe that means that Jack and Ennis are in harmony right now.
