I am going to be in Basel for 2 weeks. On the middle weekend, I fly to Brussels to visit Fabienne. Then, on Sept 18th I take the train to Germany where I will connect with Hannah and Chrissi and spend a week visiting there before coming home on Sep 26th.

Morning all,

61 degrees and sort of damp and foggy this morning. Not sure if this will burn off into the hazy, hot and humid weather that was predicted. I hope not! Temps in the 70s work just fine for me!

Congrats. to all three, I was stunned when I reached 1000. I can't ever imagine attaining the lofty heights of all of you.

 It is hot and humid here.I have just run screaming from the garage. I was taking out all lifes' little frusrations by carving, hacking and taking an axe to a smelly old sofa that the previous owners left here.
Then all of a sudden out crawled a spider with a red dot on its back. I don't know much but I am sure someone told me that snakes and spiders with red, were poisonous.
So husband is in there trying to find it as I will never ever sleep again if I think it has got into the house.

If it did then it's the Southern Black Widow.   Although highly virulent, it's quite timid according to this site: http://insects.tamu.edu/fieldguide/cimg368.html

Ohhhhhhhh.....black widows!  I've never actually seen one in person.
