Cold here this morning. 9 degrees and lots of frost. They are predicting the lovely "wintry mix" starting at noon today, with a miserable commute in the afternoon.

You better come down soon!  I'm dying to see "Ciao", but the reviews aren't spectacular.  These little films don't last long.  "Were the World Mine" barely stuck a week.  There are too many good, little films right now, and not a lot of space at the art houses. 

We're expecting about a foot of snow today.  I took the subway to work, because the last time we had a storm like this, very heavy and very quickly, it took me over four hours to drive four miles home.  Never again!

Lots of snow in NYC today!  I went out at 9:30, not a flake in sight.  By the time I got home at 12:30, we must have had at least 2 inches.  Still coming down hard.

Hiya BetterMostians

I managed to get Christmas presents for 10 children in five minutes today!
I had a good idea this year: instead of endlessly running through toy shops, hunting for the best suited present of each and every single nephew and niece, they'll get all the same present.

The idea came when my daughter got a lightball, which changes its colors, for her birthday. They are tacky, I admit it. I never would have bought one of those. But when it's dark and they're lit, they really make a beautiful, slowly but constantly changing light. The colors merge seamlessly.




All kids who've seen it so far LOVE it. And I like it too, although it's almost a guilty pleasure, lol.
