Hi Chuck, and everyone.  We've had a long long holiday season here in Seattle.  We were all snowed in for the last week of "normal."  Then the holidays were here, with time off, so tomorrow is the first time since December 17th that we will back to normal schedule.  I CRAVE going back to the schedule, and having to be places.  I had three days in a row during the snowed in phase where I didn't go outside at all, or put on shoes, barely got out of my pajamas.  It was nice, but I'm rarin to get functional again.  We cleaned the house really well this morning, it felt great.

It's been very cold here the last couple of days. We had snow yesterday too. Traffic was a mess, but the kids went to school very happy! Instead of going swimming (the school bus didn't make it) they got to play outside and have snow ball fight.

It's -11°C (12°F) here! Brrrrrrrrr

Oh my god, Fabienne! I didn't realize Belgium got that cold! Is that unusually cold for you all over there? It's almost that cold here too. We have an ice storm coming as well!

Let's build a fire and bundle up under some warm blankets! :)

Good morning to all !
Just reading 12 degs makes me freeze, it can get that cold in the north of England, one reason I left, very bad for my arthritis. It is about 63 this am and predicted to hit 80 which is unusually warm even for Florida. The lovely thing is, as it is "winter" there is no humidity.

I miss seeing snow, I don't miss living with it. In fact if truth be told, we rarely got snow in the North of England, just cold, rain and that horrible grey drizzle that makes you feel grey as well !!!!

Morning all,

25 degrees and lots of bright sun here in Maine this morning.

Hannah and I went to the Shelter and adopted a cute little cat on Saturday. We've named her Sootie (I think you can tell why from the pictures). She is very sweet. Weigh 3.8 pounds. She was abandoned at a vet's office 5 days before Christmas  :(

Awwwww. She's so cute. I love black cats. Well, I love all cats, but am allergic to some. And of course my Bonnie was black. Therefore black ones are my favs  :).

And yay for getting a cat from a shelter :D.

How do Chester and Sootie get along?
