Happy 2008!
« on: December 31, 2007, 05:48:10 pm »

To one & all...

May your New Year be fulfilling
may your adventures be thrilling
may your tears be few
and  your sorrows too,
may your joys be plentiful
may your rewards be bountiful
may you treasure memories from the fading year
and embrace the new one with nothing but cheer!

Cheers!  8)

Happy New Year to all Brokies!  :D

Actually, for me the new year has already begun. It's 12.45am here in Germany. In 15 minutes, Kelda, Nic, Susiebell and all other UK-bound Brokies will celebrate.

Happy New Year to you too Chrissi, and to everyone else over there where it's already 2008.

From your Brokie friend David, who's still stuck in the past! ;)

Thanks, Amanda! Speaking of stars, I went to a stargazing session in the Arizona desert tonite. (I always try to do something cosmic on NY eve) and the astronomer was saying that it is estimated that every Atom in our bodies has been through 20 galactic events (creation and destruction of galaxies). And there was a song about this, sung by one of my favourite groups that I saw in concert last year, Crosby Stills Nash and Young. The song was written by Joni Mitchell, and it goes like this:

We are stardust, we are golden, we are billion year-old carbon,
And we’ve got to get ourselves back to the garden

Do you know the name of this song??

Hey Sister Mod!

I definitely know that song... those lyrics are very familiar.  But, now I'm going to have to wrack my brain to try to come up with the title!

Woodstock from the album Dejavu'

Brokeback Dev=big fan of CSN&Y and Joni Mitchell

I like both versions of the song.  My very first concert ever was Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, yes and Young, at Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City.  First and last time I was ever there!  I was only 13 and I had never seen anything like it.  The concert was simply magical!

Awesome, dev! Don't get me started on CSN&Y...I don't want to bore the younger Brokies in the New Year...but you can read all about it and weigh in w your thoughts on this fascinating group here: http://bettermost.net/forum/index.php/topic,1157.msg21185.html#msg21185
